Community Highlights: Meet Sonia Ribas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonia Ribas.

Hi Sonia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a Health Coach specialized in Fertility, Pregnancy and Postpartum. I live in Los Angeles but I was born and raised in Barcelona. I am a proud mom of three amazing kids, who are my biggest teachers in life.

I was raised in Barcelona but been traveling my whole life. I landed in California in 2012 and completely fell in love with it. Since then, I call California my home.

Besides raising my kids, my work is a true passion, I don’t even call it work! For 14 years, I have been helping women conceive babies through my holistic approach to Fertility, Health and well-being. I am also a Yoga Teacher, which allows me to integrate movement and powerful breathing and meditation techniques into my method.

I’ve helped women diagnosed with infertility, with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), bad quality eggs, endometriosis, fallopian tube disorder, hormonal imbalances… and today, they are enjoying a new life as a Mom.

My personal journey:
Not that long ago, I would never have thought that being a Mom would be the most important adventure of my life… My daily life was hectic and devoted to my job as marketing manager for large multinational companies. My professional career was promising; I had recognition, satisfaction and great financial retribution.

But I wanted something else. And so I took a huge leap of faith.

The first step in my personal transformation came through yoga. What started as a hobby began to offer me increasingly important lessons, and on a daily basis the opportunities grew for me to delve deeper into meditation, mindfulness and nutrition until suddenly everything fit into the holistic idea of health as a lifestyle.

And before I knew it, I had become a yoga instructor and founded Yogin’it, an online platform designed to nourish people’s yoga lifestyle and which inspired hundreds of thousands of yoga practitioners around the world each day. 6 years later I merged Yogin’it with the leading yoga platform Omstars, in order to focus my time and energy on helping women like you.

In 2009, a yoga client reached out to me, asking for help. She was 40 years old and had been diagnosed with infertility: she was devastated. Her words “you’re the only person I trust” changed my life. I dove into studying everything I could find around Fertility and Women’s Health. I designed a nutrition and lifestyle plan for her. She got pregnant. Her OB-Gyn was so impressed that started referring clients to me, and so did her colleagues… the rest is history.

My vocation as a Fertility Coach was enhanced when my ex-husband and I decided to have our 1st baby. I put all my knowledge to use and I designed an integrative plan to live the process to the utmost. Nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, yoga, meditation… boosting my fertility, preparing to conceive and going through pregnancy was be the perfect opportunity to test my holistic vision of health.

Of course, it was not all a bed of roses. I underwent all sorts of challenges… I learned a lot, and I took note of it all. Going through the whole process myself allowed me to optimize my coaching skills, tools and method.

Becoming a Mom was an amazing experience for me. The miracle of creating and hosting a new life was such a transformational experience that I repeated it twice more… and I want you to experience it too. This is why I am here to serve you with knowledge, experience and love. Because it is my passion to help other women achieve their dreams of becoming Moms.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not been a smooth road. On the personal side, the last two years have been very transformational as I have been through a rough divorce process. Fortunately, it’s all behind now and I am so happy with the new version of myself: stronger, more resilient, more empowered and much happier.

I am a single Mom raising my three kids in LA, one of the best cities in the world that, even if it’s not my hometown, I am so proud to call “home”.

I am a sought-after LA-based Fertility Coach and a Mom of three.

In my last 14+ years, I have successfully coached thousands of couples struggling to conceive. My highly personalized, transformational and integrative lifestyle-based approach, which covers everything from nutrition to wellbeing, makes me an expert guide in my clients’ path towards Parenthood. I help couples 1on1, in groups and in Fertility Clinics around to world. I help boost my client’s fertility from every possible angle and maximize their chance of conceiving, both naturally and via IVF.

Besides helping couples conceive healthy babies, I am a wellness educator and extremely passionate about inspiring people around the world to lead healthy lifestyles. I constantly collaborate with International lifestyle media outlets and companies as a consultant, speaker, educator and expert Health Coach.
