Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Wire.
Hi Ryan , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my real estate career at 22, working as my mom’s assistant while she was with Coldwell Banker. At 23, I earned my license and joined her there, where we spent six years before moving to a boutique firm called Aviara. Over the next decade, we became part owners of both the real estate and escrow company, built out the Wire Group, and I served on the Board of Directors.
In 2021, I launched a transaction coordinating company, Always Be Closing – Transactions (abc-tc.com
), which has now completed over 1,000 files. I also developed a custom Salesforce platform that manages transactions seamlessly from open to close.
By 2023, I decided it was time to take the next step and launched my own virtual brokerage, NEXT Brokerage (nextbrokerage.io
). We’ve grown quickly — recently hitting 50 agents — and I’ve focused on building systems, tools, and one of the most competitive commission structures in the industry to give our agents every advantage in the market.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most people in the industry, I’ve had to navigate some major challenges. Covid completely changed the way people did business, forcing us to adapt quickly to new technologies and client expectations. More recently, the NAR lawsuit has created a lot of confusion for both buyers and sellers, and the broader economic uncertainty has also had serious implications on the real estate market.
On the business-building side, one of the biggest obstacles has been self-funding everything. While that limits how fast I can scale compared to having outside investors, it also allows me to stay true to my vision and build the companies the way I believe best serves agents and clients—without anyone else dictating the direction.

I wish I knew how important systems are. Having the right processes in place — for tracking leads, managing transactions, and following up — can save you years of stress and help you grow faster. That’s part of why I’ve built the tools I have today at NEXT, to give agents that foundation from the start.
And finally, don’t be afraid of the long game. Real estate is a career built on persistence. When I first started at Coldwell Banker, I thought things would happen overnight — but it took time, effort, and consistency before I really saw momentum. Looking back, I’m glad I stayed the course, because those early habits of discipline and relationship-building are what carried me forward.
