Gadget-Bot, established by the creators Robert Simons and Peggy Chung, is a prominent Los Angeles-based concept design studio with over a decade of experience delivering cutting-edge concept designs, illustrations, and 3D art for the entertainment industry. Our notable contributions span across renowned games like Apex Legends, Valorant, and Call of Duty, as well as cinematic projects like Jurassic World, Pacific Rim, and Battle Angel: Alita.

Kaidro, a separate company founded by the same creators, is solely dedicated to storytelling and intellectual property (IP) creation. Kaidro’s achievements include the development of an animation trailer, a successful comic book series, and a soon-to-be-available game on Steam. Additionally, we’ve forged a formal partnership with the globally acclaimed band Odesza for an animation trailer.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. As many are aware, the industry experienced significant fluctuations over the past year, impacting our company as well. While many companies had to shut down, we pressed forward. It was far from easy. Our team had to adapt, showcasing flexibility and innovation to establish efficient workflows while reducing production costs. Maintaining a steady course was challenging, but thanks to our team’s efforts, we not only developed an exceptional game and continued our comic book series but also introduced innovative workflow enhancements that allowed us to create a unique, cost-effective, and high-quality process.

Gadget-Bot, a story-driven concept design studio based in Los Angeles, California, has been a leader in the industry for over a decade. Our recent work includes contributions to well-known titles such as Respawn’s Apex Legends, Riot’s Valorant, Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War.
