Community Highlights: Meet Kiara Belen of The Fashion Life Tour

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Belen.

Hi Kiara, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After graduating on a full basketball scholarship from UC Irvine, I was finally able to fulfill my dreams of becoming a model and singer. I was selected to participate on America’s Next Top Model and placed second. The show provided the platform for me to be able to travel the world singing with artists like Alicia Keys and Macy Gray to performing on stages and runways all over the world. I was recently featured in Harpers Bazaar Magazine and Elle Magazine along with my company, TFL for our London Fashion Week production.

Mentorship and coaching was always a part of my life being the eldest of 7 siblings and athletic background. I wanted to provide a safe space for young girls to learn about themselves and the industry. Thus, came the birth of The Fashion Life Tour, TFL. With Julie, GG, and Jessica, we created a school and production company to create real industry experiences for our amateur models. We now host exclusive fashion shows during LAFW, NYFW, London Fashion Week and will be adding Milan in 2023.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
There are no smooth roads. Especially trying to run a small business as a single mother. But what life teaches us is that we gain strength through battles and perseverance. Each year, we have grown in industry and, celebrity presence, show production value, sponsorship support, and talent level. I am incredibly grateful for my team of powerful women who don’t take failure as an option and always find a way to get the job done. Together we can accomplish anything.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Fashion Life Tour is a fashion school that provides real fashion week experiences for select models to participate in all over the world. There are no height or age requirements, as we’ve been able to find opportunities for everyone. After training with me, they each have the opportunity to walk in a show.

I specialize in runway training and I’m proud to say there’s never been a walk I couldn’t improve. I love what I do because it goes beyond the scope of model training and into the realm of self-awareness and overall confidence. I teach modeling from the inside out and letting your inner light shine through the camera.

TFL is the only school to provide international fashion show opportunities for our models. I am most proud of our partnerships and sponsorships that also believe in our vision and growth. We also provide platforms for emerging designers and performers to gain international experience as well. Our shows are truly impressive and unforgettable.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is walking authentically in your purpose while leaving a positive impact wherever you go, just because of your grateful attitude about life. Success is knowing that life is not linear but loving how it shifts in every moment. Success is leaving a legacy of positive evolution and healthy consciousness.
