Community Highlights: Meet Jun Han of Haus Lounge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jun Han.

Jun, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Haus Lounge started as a small family-run spot. My wife began by creating food and menu items from the kitchen, while I focused on the front of the house and building relationships with customers. Little by little, we started building a community of regulars in the neighborhood.

Today, we see different types of people throughout the day. Earlier in the evening, a lot of guests stop by after golf or for casual food and drinks with friends. Later at night, since we’re one of the few places in the area that serves food and desserts late, we get many people looking for a late-night meal, desserts, or just a relaxed atmosphere to hang out in.

We also try to make Haus feel more than just a bar or lounge. Guests can watch sports games, enjoy arcade-style experiences like claw machines, and take photos in our photo booth. We wanted to create a place where people can not only eat and drink, but also make memories and spend time comfortably.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest adjustments was understanding the neighborhood and the local customer base after moving from Los Angeles to open a business in this area. I had worked as a manager in LA for over 10 years before opening Haus, so food development and customer service themselves were not completely unfamiliar to me.

The bigger challenge has been continuously creating new food and drink menus for our regular customers. Since many of our guests visit often, we always try to bring in new ideas and experiences instead of keeping things the same. It’s something we still work on constantly today.

Because of that process, Haus now has a very wide variety of food, drinks, desserts, and late-night options that reflect both our creativity and our customers’ feedback.

We also continue trying to create a space that can feel comfortable and enjoyable for different generations — from younger guests looking for a fun night out to older customers who want a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Haus Lounge is a hidden neighborhood spot that many people still have not discovered yet, but we’ve always wanted it to be a place that anyone can enjoy comfortably.

One thing that makes Haus different is the variety we offer. Our menu ranges from Korean dishes to pasta, late-night comfort food, desserts, and different types of fried foods so that groups with different tastes can all find something they enjoy.

On the drink side, we offer everything from soju, draft beer, and highballs to a full bar with whiskey, tequila and more. Whether someone wants a casual drink, or a full night out with friends, we try to create a space that fits all kinds of occasions.

We also designed the space to accommodate different types of gatherings. We have a cozy private birthday room that can comfortably fit around 10 guests, as well as a large indoor patio area filled with TVs that can host bigger groups of over 20–30 people for sports nights, celebrations, and events.

Overall, we want Haus to feel flexible, welcoming, and experience-driven — a place where people can eat, drink, celebrate, watch games, relax, and create memories all in one space.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We’re still constantly growing and trying new ideas, and we’re very grateful for all the local customers who continue supporting us.

Haus has always been about creating a place where people can relax, eat good food, enjoy drinks, watch sports, celebrate with friends, or simply spend time comfortably late at night.

If people haven’t discovered us yet, we hope they’ll stop by and experience the atmosphere for themselves. We’re always working to make Haus feel like a fun and welcoming hidden spot for the community.
