Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Kritzberg.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Since I was young, I’ve always had a passion for filmmaking. It all started with a Flip Video camcorder and iMovie in 2009. Creating short films, trailers, and travel vlogs sparked my creativity which eventually grew my interest in pursuing a four-year film program in high school, to then a Bachelor’s Degree of the Arts (Television Production), to now owning and operating a successful, full-time video production and social media marketing company, JKreative Media Team, Intl. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be able to wake up every day, pick up a camera, work with people of all industries, and creatively produce content; but that is exactly what I am doing! The best part of it all? None of it feels like work and I am so fortunate to have been able to find a career in something I love doing at such a young age! The feeling of nailing a creative shot, piecing the content together like a puzzle, delivering it to my clients, and hearing their words of excitement is something that will never get old!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Throughout my professional journey up until this point, there have definitely been some obstacles that I had to overcome. Challenges like learning new equipment, working with unfamiliar industries, and the overall management of my business (and for a while, as a one-man show) added some roadblocks to throughout the way. However, with the right vision and goals in place, I have been able to overcome those adversities and achieve to a level that I never thought I would be at five years ago.

How do you think about luck?
When you mention how luck has played a role on my business, I don’t see it as luck. Sure, I am extremely fortunate and grateful as to where I am today, but getting myself and my business to this point wasn’t luck. It was determination, motivation, all-nighters, early mornings, free gigs that turned into paid gigs, and a lot of perseverance. I always knew from being a young child of the life I wanted, and I am so fortunate to say (at still a young age) that I truly am doing what I love each and every day. Every morning, I wake up with a smile on my face, excited for what the day will bring. That’s not luck, that’s passion.
