Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Sophia Trevenna
Hi Dr. Sophia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began the experiment of living my life entirely by intuition twenty years ago when I was a mechanical engineer working at the world’s largest tech company. The last thing I expected back then as a thirty-year-old scientist was for my intuition to open wide and bring me guidance in the form of profound dreams, synchronicities, signs, and eventually, the ability to see and talk to my Angels and the Spirit Guides of 150 clients in 25 countries! Long story short, higher Guidance led me to move countries, earn my PhD focusing on sustainable business, and become an award winning professor, author, speaker, non-profit director and serial CEO. What a journey!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As you can imagine, my academic, spreadsheet-loving, engineering mind was always grappling with my non-rational, paradigm shattering, life-changing intuitive wisdom. So I decided to approach it all like an experiment. My mind took on the role of posing questions, noticing intuitive answers, translating them into meaningful action, and carefully monitoring how following intuition played out. By occupying my mind with these jobs in the process of letting what I now consider my Divine Feminine flow enter my life, my intuition was able to stretch and explore.
I didn’t do this consultation of both intellect and intuition, what I considered the dance of my masculine and feminine energies, just once in a while. I did it from the moment I woke up, through my morning routines, through driving to school, through my entire first meeting, then the next, and through every step of every day, always. For twenty years. Never did my mind step aside and never did my intuition stop sharing its views. And slowly but surely, as with all things practiced continually for decades, these two worlds of science and spirit found their way into harmony.
When all this began, what my intuition suggested to my rigid 30 year old self was so shattering that it almost destroyed me. Yet a few years later, I realized all that was destroyed were my programmed beliefs that clung to false ideas of security and belonging. And in the wake of letting my feminine side in, I had overcome anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts and had found my purpose as an early pioneer leader in sustainability and green business in the paradise of Hawaii. From then on, my intuition kept earning the respect of my rational mind over and over and over.
Each time intuition gave me a new direction to go, it felt like preposterous Guidance that would destroy all I knew and have me chase an impossible dream of grandeur. When I lived out all the difficult changes and lessons that came with my new direction, I would wonder every step of the way if it was all worth it. Yet, like any rigorous scientist, I knew I had to play it out all the way if I was ever to know the answer. And over and over again, because I always stayed the course until the end, and usually much longer than any sane person would have kept going, intuition led me through steps that made the impossible dream my reality. While the journey was often head spinning, where intuition took me was always better. Over and over and over and over.
This is how I built every company, all my courses, wrote all my books, connected with clients in over 25 countries, and built a beautiful life beyond anything I could have imagined. Intuition didn’t only Guide me to the wildest possibilities for my life, it stepped me through every painstaking choice and action required to do the deep trauma healing, have the difficult conversation, leave the toxic relationships, write the epic proposal, structure the radical venture, make the unthinkable move…on and on and on.

As an Angelic Channel and Transformational Coach, I’ve worked with 150 high performing professional leaders in over 25 countries to catapult their life and purpose. In just months they experience healing and actualization that they share would otherwise take years or even decades.
My 12 week Level Up Intuitive Coaching ProgramTM begins with a consultation with the Council of Angels I work with. Without knowing more than my client’s name, I channel detailed information on the key blocks holding back my client’s life including blind spots, repeating patterns and limiting beliefs. The Angels also share what I have long called “glimmers.” These are the beautiful possibilities available for actualization in our 12 weeks together. This part always moves both of us to tears. Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My philosophy is that no one has all the answers, yet the answers are everywhere! When I hold the specific need for a mentor who can show me the ropes of my next step, I find someone is soon recommended to me or I meet my mentor in a coffee shop. In some organic way, they cross my path. For me, holding what I need specifically with my heart and following my intuition to be in the right place at the right time connects me to all I need.
When I meet the person who has the mentorship I need, I always recognize it within our first conversation. We also realize I provide value for them that they were looking for. That value might be insights I have, the opportunity to pass on their wisdom to someone who will apply it in a new context, someone fun to “talk shop” with…there are so many possibilities.
It’s always an exchange rather than a one-way street. We rarely call our connection ‘mentorship’ yet we end up doing that for each other. Nature works this way, in symbiosis, so it feels really natural, inspiring and generative for both of us. I often set up exchanges where we pour our wheelhouses into each other and provide each other 10% of what we make while we’re up levelling together by sharing our support. It’s a really fun way to mutually invest in each other with our wisdom and actually see a return on that investment!
