Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Gutierrez.

Bianca Gutierrez

Hi Bianca, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Manila, Phillippines. My mother is a well-known movie star icon in my country and most of my family is also successful in the entertainment industry. My father was studying holistic medicine in my country and that’s how my mother and father met. I have 13 aunts and uncles, two sisters, and two brothers I love deeply. I’m the youngest of five children. My family is massive.

I’m a single mom, had my first daughter Jade at 17. I went to school for fashion for less than a year then had to drop out because my mother got terminally ill with Cancer. I took care of both my daughter and mother at the same time. My mother passed away shortly after I dropped out of school and that’s when I found the passion for DJing by accident.

A friend of mine was a house DJ and he would be always playing house records. One day, he asked if I wanted to try DJing. I played my first record, and the rest is history. I became so obsessed with DJIng that I was willing to do anything for vinyl records. That’s when I decided to intern at STACKS VINYL. A record store owned by world-famous beat junkie DJ ICY ICE.

My DJing career took off quickly and fashion landed back into my life at the same time. I found myself working in the fashion industry during the day and DJing at night. Music, fashion, and entertainment always went hand in hand so it was the perfect dynamic. Through hard work and dedication, I was appointed to executive roles at a very young age. I was extremely lucky.

Fast forward, 20 years later here I am doing the same thing but in a much larger capacity. I’ve been blessed enough to start my own successful fashion business and DJ for only special events/selected artists. I tour on occasion.

Throughout my journey, I’ve also discovered other talents along the way that will eventually streamline my brand. Such as; Art, directing, acting, modeling, writing, producing, athleticism, and dance. I signed a contract with a well-known Los Angeles firm so god willing you’ll be seeing much more of me on stage.

I have films I want to make, production companies I want to build, and eventually become a one-stop shop powerhouse. I build my own creative schedule so the only way to keep up with my projects and drops is to follow me and my journey. The best part of my journey is that I always keep it exciting so if you are following, just know that my main goal is to inspire you and the world through the lens of the BIANCA G LIFE!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. To be honest, my whole life was a constant struggle. I’ve always been in fight-or-flight mode. I was born for it. God built me this way for a reason. Sometimes, I shock myself on how strong I am.

Being a teen single mom is not easy especially when you lose your mom at the same time and I know it was tough for my daughter too.

Every struggle I’ve had, I look at it as a lesson and I’m grateful for it all. It built BIANCA G and if it wasn’t for this journey I wouldn’t be able to create the powerhouse I have today. I’m truly blessed.

I really do believe that my path was more difficult because I have a higher calling.

As you know, we’re big fans of HOUSE OF BIANCA G. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
HOUSE OF BIANCA G is a private creative home specializing in made-to-measure custom design, apparel manufacturing, and technical services. DJ BIANCA G is the CEO, founder, creative director, and designer of the brand. We offer private full-package services in both fashion and entertainment.

With over 20 years of experience in the fashion, music, and entertainment industry. I’ve had the opportunity to work directly with CEOs to help contribute to company development.

I stay true to the art of fashion and music. I do everything myself from the ground up. There is no middleman. I’m the source of my creativity.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Know yourself. Stay true to yourself. Be authentic. Be genuine. No matter what happens in your life, the truth will always shine. God only wants the truth and if you always keep God in your heart you’ll never lose.
