Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanni Sabag.
Hi Shanni, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
From a young age, I had a deep desire to help others. That calling remained strong even after I became a mother, therefore i knew it was time to pursue my dream. I was determined to become a registered nurse and be part of something greater than myself, making a meaningful difference in people’s lives every single day. I was motivated not only by personal ambition, but by a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
I went on to start nursing school and earned my BSN, becoming a registered nurse. It was undoubtedly a challenging time, but it also reinforced my determination and commitment to my goals. I have always felt that I have a strong eye for detail, a genuine passion for beauty, and a deep level of care for others. That’s when I knew that the field of aesthetics would be the perfect outlet for me. I began my career as a registered nurse with a strong passion for patient care and a deep desire in helping individuals feel confident in their own skin.
While nursing school provided me with a strong clinical foundation, it didn’t fully prepare me for a career in aesthetics. I made a commitment to continuously invest in advanced training, focusing on creating natural and balanced results. Over time, I built my skills and confidence through hands-on trainings, continuous education, and learning from respected leaders in the industry.
Today, I’m proud to work in aesthetics where I can blend science and artistry to deliver personalized treatments. My approach has always been centered on patient safety, education, and achieving results that feel authentic to each individual. Every day, I have the privilege of helping people see their own beauty and feel confident when they look in the mirror. Witnessing that shift, the smile, the confidence and the happiness is truly indescribable. It fills my heart every single time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road. I had to overcome many obstacles and challenges on my journey to becoming a registered nurse, but I never allowed anything to stand in the way of my goal.
When I began nursing school, my firstborn was just five months old. I knew it wouldn’t be easy balancing school and motherhood but I didnt want to give up. My days were filled with lectures and studying, and my nights often continued with caring for my daughter. Sleep became fragmented, time was always limited, and returning home still meant cooking, organizing, and preparing for the next day. Alongside it all was my wonderful husband, who supported me endlessly while also providing for our family, allowing me to keep moving forward.
During my final clinical rotation, I was nine months pregnant with my second child, completing 12-hour shifts on a medical surgical floor. I was experiencing significant swelling in my legs, exhaustion, and physical discomfort, yet I remained determined to see it through to the end.
With only two months remaining before completing my BSN, I felt incredibly proud of how far I had come. However, the onset of COVID-19 brought unexpected challenges. The university required all students to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in order to continue clinical rotations and graduate. At nine months pregnant, this was an incredibly difficult decision for me. Even after meeting with university leadership, there were no exceptions, and the stress I experienced during that time was truly overwhelming. Ultimately, I made the choice to move forward with the vaccination. I went on to graduate with a 3.96 GPA and I am grateful to say I welcomed a healthy, strong baby boy.
I stayed grounded in what I was working toward. Through it all, I stayed focused. I didn’t allow the challenges to pull me away from my goal. I kept moving forward one day at a time, while holding onto both my family and my future in nursing.
As I began preparing for my board exam, my son was only a few weeks old when my family and I received devastating news. My father had suffered a myocardial infarction and required open heart surgery. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, but shortly after my father developed a pulmonary embolism and was also diagnosed with COVID-19. Those months became some of the most difficult I have experienced. I found myself balancing the demands of caring for a newborn, supporting my father through his recovery, and managing my household responsibilities, all while remaining committed to studying for the board exam.
A few months later, I passed the board exam and became an RN, BSN, one of the proudest moments for me. Every obstacle along the way strengthened me, and the experience shaped the resilience and work ethic I carry into my career today.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Registered Nurse specializing in aesthetic medicine, with a focus on delivering results through a personalized, safety driven approach. I specialize in facial balancing, with an emphasis on creating refined, harmonious outcomes that enhance each patient’s natural features while preserving their authenticity.
What I am most proud of is not only the clinical expertise I have developed, but the journey that shaped it. Navigating nursing school while raising a family and facing personal challenges required discipline, resilience, and consistency, qualities that continue to define how I show up for my patients everyday.
What sets me apart is my commitment to precision, safety, and attention to detail. I approach each treatment with both medical knowledge and an artistic eye, focusing on facial harmony rather than trends, and ensuring every result is refined, balanced, and tailored. For me, it’s not just about the treatment, its about the trust, the confidence, and the smile my patients leave with.
