Check Out Rebecca De La Cruz’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca De La Cruz

Rebecca , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
A girl from Houston, Texas I’ve always dreamed about a life of the glamours of Los Angeles. I was a young girl with many big dreams and many hobbies. I grew up dancing as a ballerina, acting in musical theatre, and reading. I grew up enjoying school and I always thought I would stay a Texan girl all my life, however, things changed when I started to focus on my studies and pursue college. My dream school at the time was the University of Texas- Austin, however, they declined me despite my gpa and honors. While this was heartbreaking at first, God redirected me and I started applying and reviewing colleges out of state and decided to accept the first college that had accepted me. Loyola Marymount University was my new destination and little did I know, it was closer to fulfilling one of my dreams thanks to God redirecting me and trusting his plan for my life. I pursued international relations with a minor in classical and archaeology. I’m thankful for the education and study abroad experiences I had. I was able to do my very first excavation and find 2 urns and many artifacts still intake in Valladolid, Spain. This was one of the highlights of my college experience. Although it was a minor of mine, I was grateful to have had that amazing experience. During COVID is when I graduated, this is when I felt like I was in a life crisis. I honestly did not know what to pursue in a career and started to take on addiction of marijuana. I was in a deep end and I felt my life was turning apart, however, because of these circumstances I was able to pursue God and be centered on my relationship with Jesus Christ. I rededicated my life to Christ and gave up marijuana thanks to his grace. Many dreams I had as a child started to come true. I applied for many creative roles and was given many opportunities in Los Angeles for skincare campaigns, TV shows, and modeling for hair care to be featured in Sephora. While this is one of my hobbies, this lead to me to start taking content creation seriously on TikTok and Instagram. I’ve partnered with many brands such as SKIMS, L’occtaine, Lancôme, Urban Decay, CupShe, FashionNova, and many more. I’m still growing my personal brand, and I’m continuing to grow on my skillsets. I give all the thanks to Jesus, my family in believing in me and never giving up on myself. While the content creation industry is very saturated, I am very grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had so far and looking forward to many other projects to come. I will always be a Texan girl at heart since I was born and raised in Houston, however, I’m starting to embrace the LA life and perfecting my walk with God along the way.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been rocky and nothing is ever linear. Many of the struggles came along with finances, and the constant need to compare my life to everyone else. We are not all the same and with the struggles, there comes the blessings if you trust the plan God has for your life and realize that he always provide.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a petite Latina curvy content creator who loves to create dancing, fashion, ootd, grwm, and skincare videos on TikTok. I’ve worked with many brands across the fashion and beauty industry and I’m still expanding every day. While I do content creation, I also work as a consultant for travel for VIP clients and A-list celebrities. I create itineraries for luxury vacations and locate the best house close to the artist’s venue. I love travel and I love to help others in planning their best trip. I would say I’m most proud of my accomplishments as a curvy content creator and travel arrangements for my VIP clients. I’m a first generation Latina, and I’m still learning more and more everyday but most importantly I always try to keep God first in everything.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I have so many favorite childhood memories, however, the one that comes to mind is my time in Mexico with my family. I was young at the time but it was visiting my family home is Cuernavaca Moreles. As a family we took a trip to the cascades where we had a swim day and picnic. This was one of the childhood memories because it was with my family in Mexico and I enjoyed the beauty of the waterfalls and lush views.
