Check Out Rachel Rochester’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Rochester.

Hi Rachel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey in the entertainment and fashion industry in 2022, building my career through modeling, acting, and creative work. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with brands and productions including Gucci, Getty Images, Radswim, Luxury Living, Moonlight Bay, and Black on Black. Those experiences helped me grow not only as talent, but also as a creative professional who understands the industry from multiple perspectives.

In 2024, I took time away from the spotlight to focus on my personal life and rebuild my sense of identity and direction. That period became one of the most important chapters of my journey because it gave me clarity about the kind of legacy and businesses I wanted to build long term.

By 2025, I returned to the industry with a new vision — not just as talent, but as an entrepreneur and executive. I launched Florissante, a luxury French-inspired cosmetics brand built around timeless beauty, refinement, and confidence. Around the same time, I also founded Rochester Talent Network, a global talent agency focused on connecting models, actors, and creatives with meaningful opportunities while helping develop careers in a more personal and curated way.

Today, my work blends creativity, business, fashion, and leadership. Whether I’m modeling, acting, building brands, or helping other talent grow, my goal is always to create something impactful, elegant, and long-lasting. My story is really about reinvention, resilience, and turning passion into purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was learning how to navigate such a competitive and unpredictable industry while also building businesses at the same time. There were moments where I had to step back, rebuild my confidence, and rediscover my direction, especially after taking time away in 2024. I also had to learn how to balance the creative side of fashion and entertainment with the realities of entrepreneurship and leadership. Those experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying grounded in my vision even during uncertain seasons.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work in modeling, acting, fashion, and beauty, while also building businesses within the entertainment industry. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with brands and productions such as Gucci, Getty Images, Radswim, Luxury Living, Moonlight Bay, and Black on Black, which helped shape my experience both creatively and professionally.

As my career evolved, I became interested in creating opportunities beyond my own work in front of the camera. That led me to launch Rochester Talent Network, a global talent agency focused on helping models, actors, and creatives develop sustainable careers and meaningful industry connections. I also founded Florissante, a luxury cosmetics brand inspired by elegance, confidence, and timeless beauty.

My work is centered around creativity, branding, and building authentic connections within fashion and entertainment. I enjoy projects that allow storytelling, visual artistry, and business strategy to come together.

What I’m most proud of is the fact that I’ve been able to grow into multiple roles within the industry while staying true to my vision. I’ve learned how to adapt, lead, and create something meaningful from my own experiences.

I think what sets me apart is my ability to understand the industry from different perspectives. I’ve experienced both the creative and business sides firsthand, which allows me to approach opportunities with both professionalism and originality.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
One thing I’ve learned is that networking works best when it’s genuine and relationship-focused rather than transactional. Some of the most valuable connections I’ve made came from simply being consistent, professional, and authentic in the way I interacted with people over time.

I also think mentorship doesn’t always have to look traditional. Sometimes mentors are people you learn from through observation, collaboration, or even short conversations that leave a lasting impact. Being open to learning from different people and experiences has helped me grow both creatively and professionally.

What has worked well for me is putting myself in environments where opportunities naturally happen — whether that’s through shoots, industry events, creative projects, or business ventures. I’ve found that building a strong reputation, maintaining good communication, and supporting others genuinely tends to create long-term connections organically.

I’d also say it’s important to be patient. Meaningful relationships and mentorships usually develop over time, not overnight. Focus on growth, consistency, and bringing value to the people around you, and the right connections tend to follow naturally.
