Today we’d like to introduce you to Martha Lockie.
Hi Martha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born In Los Angeles, a 3rd generation Angeleno, to a family who was responsible for defining the jazz, opera and classical music scene in the city. My great-grandfather founded Lockie Music Company in DTLA which sold instruments to local musicians; my grandfather played the piano in the silent movie theatre and became one of the 1st studio musicians for RKO Studios. My father, R. Thomas Lockie, founded the original Los Angeles Opera Company with my uncle, Hugh Evans III.
I was born into this well-to-do family with a lot of alcoholism and specific ideas of how I should be, However I was different from birth. I was gifted with clairvoyant abilities, exceedingly sensitive to paranormal occurrences, the energy of others and the environment. I had a knowledge of God/Source and spoke of this repeatedly, even though my family never went to church or read the Bible, I knew when things were going to happen and I vocalized this – then they happened! My family thought something was very wrong with me and so began many trips to UCLA Dept of Psychiatry.
I couldn’t understand why no one believed me and I became really angry. I ran away from home many times and was kicked out of every private school in L.A. My parents didn’t know what to do with me and institutionalized me for 2+ years at the age of 15 in Victoria, Texas. When I came home I fulfilled my ancestral duty of being a Las Madrinas debutante – ugh!
Studying and developing my spirituality was the only thing that kept me sane. I began practicing meditation with Baba Muktananda in 1980, receiving Shaktipat – a Kundalini awakening – and the sacred name, Kashi. In 1983 I took my first trip to the Akashic Records at Insight in Santa Monica with John Roger.. For most of my life up until 2000 I conformed to what others wanted me to be: wife, mother, daughter, worker. I pushed aside my intuitive abilities, saving these for safe relationships and good friends. I would give Akashic and intuitive readings only as a hobby.
I became a trained European butler and worked for HNWI’s for many years before deciding to make the leap and craft a living from what I loved to do as a hobby. I earned a Master’s Certification in Intuition Medicine® from the Academy of Intuitive Medicine in Sausalito, California, I am an Advanced Soul Realignment® practitioner, and own certifications in Past Life Regression, Painfree Childbirth and Ho’Oponopono.
I focus my practice on the Akashic Records as I believe we come into this life carrying karma from unresolved wounds generated in other lifetimes which make us out of alignment with our Soul’s Divine Blueprint. We also create karma in this lifetime and carry ancestral karma in our DNA. I have seen despondent clients come to me without the understanding of why they are experiencing failed relationships, financial hardship, no direction, physical ailments, etc. The light turns on when the original source for their challenges is illuminated and they are able to forgive themselves, their past, their ancestors and let it all go! When I give a reading and uncover the causes, I perform an energetic clearing and I will always give my client tasks and solutions so they can generate positive karma that is in alignment with their ever-expanding Soul’s purpose!
In 2019 I co-founded IntoMeSea – a quantum wellness studio in Santa Monica – and held my private practice there. In 2024 I left IntoMeSea to focus primarily on my Akashic Records and Intuitive reading practice. Today I read for clients all over the world and I also work with a medicine woman in the area, providing energy healings while her clients are undergoing plant medicine journeys.
Deep and lasting forgiveness has been and still is a focal point of my practice. I have released and repurposed victim energy. I feel called to help others who have been in distressing circumstances so that we may bring consciousness to these issues
on the planet and reclaim our sovereignty.
My mission in this lifetime is to be of service and help humanity evolve…one Soul at a time.
I am the Earth Mother to three creative Souls, YaYa to three grand babies, a published poet, and a lifelong ocean worshipper and surfer.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a winding road with a lot of opportunities for growth along the way. My practice grows bit-by-bit mostly from referrals and repeat clients, although I do gather clients from Social Media. Social Media is a matrix which should be approached with a good sense of humor and some trepidation. I prefer to post helpful tips, tools and personal experience as a way to be of service to other Soul’s but I do not rely on it to secure new clients – if I receive a new client from IG then it is like a cherry-on-top!
It can be challenging in a city like Los Angeles as there are many people who are in the business of spirituality for misaligned reasons. Locating other practitioners and community with integrity is not easy. but it is possible. .L.A. has always been the city that people move to in order to reinvent themselves. This is a beautiful thing and I love my hometown because of it. However – it is very helpful to maintain good energetic separation and a grounded presence to attract aligned clients and friends.
I also struggled in the beginning with drawing healthy boundaries with my clients. There are many who want me to clear their energy field over-and-over-and-over without doing any of the work themselves. I believe steadfastly in my ability to intuit and clear karmic blocks, however everyone is the Mistress/Master of their own destiny and people always have free will – if they don’t want to participate in their clearing work then I am not the practitioner for them. I won’t just take someone’s money continuously if they have no interest in helping themselves.

I channel Akashic Records and Intuitive readings. I specialize and am known for uncovering Past Lives, Ancestral Wounds, Galactic Soul origins, performing chakra clearings, Spirit Guide readings and sharing intuitive guidance.
I am also a Minister and perform marriages, transition ceremonies, baby blessings and house clearings/blessings.
I do this all in partnership with Guides, Guardian Angels and beings of Light through the energy of Divine Love.
My goal is the ascension and alignment of as many people as I can possibly help – spirituality is all-inclusive!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
As long as there are people who want to expand consciously – my industry will always grow.
AI is a challenge and I have noticed that many practitioners use AI as a source of information and to write their copy. It’s always important to choose a practitioner based on their life experience, integrity, authenticity, extensive practice/training and intuitive ability. A lot of people want the degree without going to school and it’s easy in today’s world to disguise inexperience beneath a fancy exterior.
Additionally, therapy does not work for everyone and having a relationship with a reputable intuitive can be precisely what works to get to the cause and conditions of what is stopping someone from living a purpose filled and joyful life.
