Check Out Jessica Prince’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Prince.

Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always known I had a deep passion for working with others—guiding, supporting, and helping people move toward healing. That sense of connection has been a constant throughout my life. I attended UCLA for my undergraduate studies, where I focused on communications across diverse communities and populations, which really shaped my understanding of how people relate, express, and experience the world differently.

I then continued my education at Pepperdine University, where I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Throughout that journey, my passion for connection only deepened. I’ve seen it show up not just in my clinical work, but in my relationships with friends, family, peers, and beyond.

Today, that same foundation continues to guide my work—creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and empowered in their own growth and healing.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As someone who is highly creative with many interests, my path has taken time, exploration, and a lot of patience. I’ve worked in other industries along the way, which allowed me to expand my perspective and gain valuable experience in unique settings.

Eventually, I felt a strong pull back to my original passion—supporting others in a more meaningful, clinical way. Choosing this path meant taking risks, making sacrifices, and trusting myself enough to take a leap of faith.

This field, in many ways, asks you to practice what you preach. It requires patience, resilience, and a deep trust in yourself and the process, which is something I continue to cultivate every day, both personally and professionally.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m currently an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, working in both community mental health and private practice as I continue to accumulate hours toward licensure. Through this work, I’ve had the opportunity to support diverse populations, working with individuals and families across a wide range of experiences.

While my primary area of interest is women’s mental health, my clinical experience includes supporting clients navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, mood-related challenges, and more—all through a trauma-informed lens. My approach is largely person-centered, grounded in the belief that each individual’s story, identity, and lived experience deserve to be understood on their own terms.

I strive to meet clients exactly where they are, creating a space where they feel safe, seen, and supported as we work together through challenges toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. What I’m most proud of is witnessing the growth that unfolds in that space—seeing clients build insight, develop healthier patterns, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.

What sets me apart is my deep value for connection and presence. I bring a warm, collaborative energy into my work, blending clinical knowledge with genuine care to help clients feel both grounded and empowered in their healing process.

What does success mean to you?
I define success less by external milestones and more by internal alignment and growth. To me, success is about living and working in a way that feels authentic, intentional, and connected to my values.

In my work, success looks like creating a space where clients feel safe enough to be seen and supported, and witnessing the small but meaningful shifts they make—whether that’s gaining insight, setting boundaries, or moving through challenges with more resilience and self-compassion.
