Check Out Gina Zapanta’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Zapanta.

Hi Gina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Gina created the Empowered with Gina (EWG) platform to address what she personally knew capable women, like herself, encountered on their growth journeys: self-limiting thoughts, mom-guilt, imposter syndrome, lack of accountability, limiting societal and cultural expectations, toxic relationships and rarely any practical ways to achieve an abundant, powerful and empowered mindset from other women living in their true empowerment.

Gina grew up in Whittier, California and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Throughout her life of many failures, successes, divorce, cancer, re-marriage, blended family of six kids, surrogacy and being an entrepreneur of multiple businesses, she continually felt outside pressures demanding more of her and the inside thoughts that she wasn’t doing enough. It became a vicious draining cycle where life was happening to her…… and not for her. She knew she didn’t want to continue living in a draining whirlpool and that she couldn’t be the only woman who felt like that. That’s when she decided to do something about it. She took a leap of faith, bet on herself and choose to change her mindset to demand an empowered life for herself- at all costs.

In addition to launching the EWG platform, she is a lawyer who co-founded Z.A. Lawyers as well as many legal initiatives for disadvantaged communities to have access to quality education, opportunities and legal work.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It is and it’s not a smooth road. The only way I continue to succeed is failing often and quickly through many obstacles and struggles.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am professionally a lawyer who has taken the road less traveled. I launched my law firm and, instead of practicing traditional legal work, I utilize my superpowers in marketing and scaling the law firm brand. I’m most proud of continually showing up despite and scary and lonely growth can feel. Deciding to launch Empowered with Gina, without having a roadmap of anyone else who has done something similar, created much self-doubt and a insecurity but I believe deeply in what the platform standards for and I proceed despite the fear.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
My mindset.
