Check Out Emily Crawford’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Crawford.

Hi Emily, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey to where I am today has been anything but traditional, and honestly, that’s what makes it so meaningful to me. After spending time in medical device sales, I realized I was being pulled further away from the work that truly lit me up, so I made the decision to return to my roots and reconnect with my background in athletic training. That leap pushed me to do a lot of personal work, rediscover who I really was, and build a life and career that felt authentic and purpose-driven. What started as a love for fitness quickly grew into a passion for helping people become stronger, more confident, and more empowered through movement. I’m especially passionate about helping women learn to lift, take up space unapologetically, and realize just how capable they are both inside and outside of the gym. Everything I’ve created today has been built on community, authenticity, and a genuine love for helping others step into their strength.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest challenges along the way was learning how to navigate entrepreneurship in real time. Building a business from the ground up while also working alongside the gym meant wearing every hat possible and figuring things out through experience, long hours, and plenty of trial and error. There were moments of uncertainty, setbacks, and growing pains, but each obstacle taught me how to adapt, trust myself, and stay connected to the bigger vision. I learned quickly that entrepreneurship isn’t just about building a brand, it’s about building resilience, confidence, and the ability to keep showing up even when things feel uncomfortable. Balancing both worlds pushed me far outside of my comfort zone, but it also helped shape the coach, leader, and business owner I am today. Looking back, those challenges became some of the most defining parts of my journey because they taught me how powerful it can be to bet on yourself.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work is centered around helping people build strength safely, intentionally, and with confidence. I specialize in strength training with a strong focus on proper movement, education, and long-term progress, because I believe lifting should not only help you reach your goals, but also support your body for years to come. I work with women of all ages and experience levels, creating an environment where they feel empowered to learn, grow, and challenge themselves in the gym without intimidation. Over the years, I’ve become especially known for my glute-focused training and my first specialty class, Glutes 101, which earned me the nickname “the glute girl.” While the class started as a fun and focused way to teach lower body training, it quickly became something much bigger: a space where women built confidence, consistency, and strength together. What sets me apart is my ability to combine education, community, and performance in a way that makes women feel both supported and capable, whether they’re stepping into the gym for the first time or chasing bigger goals for themselves.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
There have definitely been moments in business where growth can feel like pure luck, especially when opportunities start showing up in ways you didn’t expect. But when I really step back and look at the bigger picture, I know it’s been far more than luck alone. A lot of what people see as “overnight success” is actually years of hard work, consistency, uncomfortable decisions, and continuing to show up even when no one is watching. I’ve learned that there’s real power in speaking things into existence, being clear about what you want, believing you’re capable of getting there, and moving with intention toward it every day. I’m a big believer that mindset matters, and that the energy you put into your goals influences the opportunities you create for yourself. For me, success has come from a combination of vision, action, and trusting that if I continue putting in the work, the right things will align.
