Check Out Edgar Soriano’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edgar Soriano.

Hi Edgar, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began as a curious and eager highschool musician with a passion for music. “The Groove Room” came to me one day after a recording session with my good friend “Ohster” I didn’t think much of it I thought “it would be so cool to capture a moment in time through music, with clean audio, and had rehearsed for this session weeks in advance with other musicians, providing him with a full lineup to back his original music. I was honored to have him be my first “guest” on the channel, starting what has continued to be my passion these past few years.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been tough being the only person manning the equipment, setting up for sessions, and editing the audio & video. I’ve had continuous support from musicians and my community and that’s what truly keeps me going.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I showcase artist and provide them with an interview, professional audio & video, and the support and publicity I can provide to aid their vision and creative journey. I specialize in audio engineering, session work, and being a studio musician. I believe what sets me apart from others in my field is my eagerness to explore as many genres possible. I am most proud of bringing people together, I have such a love for working and making music with other people. The Groove Room is not limited to a genre. The skies the limit when it comes to helping another with their OWN vision.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I always tell my clients, “Whatever can go wrong, Will go wrong” upon starting a session. because the truth is, not everything will go as planned. I feel that luck has a way of working itself out for the better and providing each session with its own unpredictability and excitement.
