Check Out Daniela Ghiglieri’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Ghiglieri.

Daniela Ghiglieri

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey as an entrepreneur started at a very young age but I always had a deep passion for helping people feel seen and heard. I was the one that anyone and everyone would open up to. I had a natural gift and I guess you could say “motherly instinct.” I always loved to make new friends and also did not have a choice since I frequently moved as a young child. I became independent at a very young age and was ready to discover the world. I moved from The SF Bay Area to Southern California when I was 20 years old with the desire to start a new life. I was determined to make something of myself no matter what it took. I ended up with a job in the beauty and wellness industry. I was given the opportunity to build a business from the ground up. I had not finished college, but I saw it as an opportunity to learn something. I knew if I put my head down and got to work, I could do it. I was on a health and wellness journey of my own at that time, so the opportunity felt like one I could not pass up. I was able to take that business from one small little room to a large facility. Although the relationships I built and things I learned were so amazing… it actually took a huge toll on my mind and body. The job was demanding, toxic, and unhealthy. Funny… because initially, it was all about the health! Well… improving my mental health was a new journey I was going to have to embark on. I went to doctors, and the first thing they wanted to do was shove pills down my throat without hardly asking any questions. I refused to let my body take on a medication I knew was not good for me in the long run. So, I was set on a new mission to find natural healing alternatives for those who were going through the same thing I was. I then discovered the key to my mental health improvement took the leap of faith, and started my brand, Alter Ego.

Alter Ego has evolved into a brand that provides people with natural healing alternatives for mental health, energy, focus, and so much more! We create functional mushroom products that give you many benefits that will help you with your overall wellness. We also host events, retreats, and amazing collaborations for people to attend. We are determined to break the chains of negativity and create a space where people can come to and feel whole, seen, and heard.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business is never easy. I started Alter Ego with the savings I had from years of hard work. The initial brand I had was not named Alter Ego, and it just was not sticking. I had to go back to the drawing board and completely change my whole vision in order to create something people wanted! Restarting was not easy, but it was worth it.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Alter Ego is a brand that gives people holistic healing alternatives to helping them feel energized, clarity, and aligned. Our mission is to bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. Our products have functional mushrooms to help with all of these key points. The ingredients are all organic and pure from the source. But Alter Ego is more than just a product. It is a platform for people to come together through our events and collaborations to create an amazing community of like-minded individuals. It is also a place for people who want to experience something new and feel seen and heard.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I do not believe in “Luck” I believe in hard work and the universe having your back. When you serve others and do what you say you are going to do then you will see the fruits of your labor. It does not mean that it will be easy. The only way you fail is if you give up. The only luck I guess I can say I have is my willpower to keep going. Not everyone feels strong enough to do so.
