Check Out Dalton England’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dalton England.

Hi Dalton, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2017, I graduated college with a degree in psychology after living my dream of playing Division I baseball. Moving back home to face the real world was the biggest wake up call of my life. After a year at a dead-end job, while leaving the only identity of myself that I knew behind, I took a leap of faith to find myself by quitting my job without a backup plan and put all bets on Me. I started The Tie Dye Company after selling all my personal belongings on eBay, learning eCommerce, and ultimately discovering a massive hole in the online market for tie-dye, along with a unique brand, community, and social media presence to go with it. The Tie Dye Company is quite literally—the plug for tie dye.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve learned that being an entrepreneur means navigating around bumps and obstacles regardless of whether it is smooth or not. In my opinion, the most important factor in individual success is having the self-esteem to achieve it. When you have faith in yourself, you can start the process of making your dreams a reality. When you take that faith and add the empowerment of a community, there are no limits to what you can achieve. That’s where The Tie Dye Company tag line comes from: “Dream In Color” means to have bold, often unrealistic goals and ambitions. The classic “American Dream” of going to college and getting a good job was too black and white for me, so I “Dream In Color” with The Tie Dye Company.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I make tie dye. I use the same supplies and dyes as everybody else, but my designs are unique to my brand and you won’t be able to find them anywhere else. However, that is not what I am most proud of. I am most proud of the community that we have built with TDC. The people that surround this brand genuinely lift me up and make this brand what it is. If you want to see them individually, just look at our marketing collateral. All of our media is generated and submitted by the community. The amount of support and encouragement that this brand receives on a daily basis is what drives me to wake up every day and I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to give back to them. I truly believe that whatever you give, you get back tenfold, and this community strives to create that type of atmosphere.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I couldn’t give more credit to my “Company”.
