Check Out Christopher “YungChriisbeats” Espinoza’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher “YungChriisbeats” Espinoza.

Hi Christopher “YungChriisbeats”, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been one of exploration, growth, and learning through both triumphs and challenges. It all began in South Central Los Angeles, where my passion for music production first took root. At the start, I thought, “I’ll just make beats,” but like many artists, I wasn’t entirely sure where that path would lead me.I enrolled at The Los Angeles Recording School, which proved to be a crucial step in building my foundational skills. It helped me discover what I truly enjoyed and what wasn’t the right fit for me. For a time, I even stepped away from making beats, deciding it wasn’t for me, and took a more traditional route working a city job. Then the pandemic hit. With everything shutting down, I found myself restless, and I realized I needed a creative outlet. Traveling, which I’d always loved, wasn’t an option anymore, so I dusted off my drum machine and reignited my passion for music. That moment pushed me to commit fully to my craft and take my career seriously. Since then, my journey has taken me to some incredible places from acting in major Super Bowl commercials for Volkswagen to attending the Grammys and the Emmys. Each experience has been invaluable, helping me grow both personally and professionally. Today, I’m focused on pursuing music and acting, while also stepping into the role of CEO. It hasn’t always been easy, but every step big or small has shaped the person and artist I am today. I’m excited for what the future holds.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all! Honestly, the biggest struggle for me was getting out of my own head. I come from a family that followed a more “traditional” path in life which is completely valid, but I chose to take a different route and pursue a career in the entertainment industry. And as anyone in this field knows, it’s not an easy industry to break into. There were definitely challenges, moments of self-doubt, constantly waiting for the “right time” (which, spoiler alert: doesn’t exist), and learning to navigate the noise, including so called “supporters” who weren’t always genuine, and people within the industry who tried to take advantage. But the most rewarding part? I did a lot of it scared. I went through the fire, learned as I went, and eventually found myself in the right place at the right time. If I had the chance to do it all over again I absolutely would.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I wear a lot of hats! First and foremost, I’m an artist. I produce beats, compose scores, and in March 2022, I launched my own music publishing company, SevenFourteenPublishingLLC. Right now, I’m diving deep into sync licensing, and within the next five years, I plan to start signing artists to the roster. Beyond music, I also act I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects with Disney, Universal Studios, ABC, Hulu, and several others. And recently, I added modeling to the list after being selected as a runway model for New York Fashion Week, which was a surreal experience. I also work behind the scenes at major industry events, which gives me a whole other perspective on the business. What I’m most proud of is my faith and personal growth. There were many moments where I felt like giving up, but something in me really, God kept whispering, ‘Keep going.’ And trust me, I came very close to throwing in the towel. What sets me apart is my humility. No matter how much success comes my way, I stay grounded. I genuinely love seeing others win, and I believe that kind of energy comes back around my blessings have definitely come tenfold. I also just releases my first 3 music singles under my very own publishing company & wrapped maybe my biggest acting gig to date for DISNEY!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’m a music producer specializing in everything from beats and scores to acting and running my own music publishing company. My passion lies in helping artists bring their sonic visions to life whether that’s through production, composition, or guiding them through the complex world of music publishing. I’m proud not only of my growth as an artist and entrepreneur, but also of how much I’ve evolved spiritually. I won’t pretend to be perfect or claim I never struggle with doubt, but my faith in God has never been stronger. I’ve learned that I can’t force things to happen just because I want them to my job is to show up, give my best, and trust that what’s meant for me will come in due time. One thing I take deep pride in is sharing my knowledge with others, especially artists and youth from underserved communities. In places like the one I grew up in, we’re not taught the fundamentals of business, law, or ownership. So, whether it’s showing someone how to navigate publishing or how to start their own music company, I find real purpose in teaching. That’s what truly sets me apart I don’t just create, I empower.
