Check Out BUCI BUCI’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to BUCI BUCI.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised in China, where I began my career working as a DJ at well-known clubs and music festivals across the country. During that time, I realized that I wasn’t fully satisfied with only playing other people’s music — I wanted to create music that truly belonged to me.

That realization led me to start teaching myself music production and composition. After building a solid foundation, I made the difficult decision to leave my DJ career and pursue music production full-time.

Later, I began sharing short videos of my creative process and live production performances on social media. Through years of consistency, experimentation, and hard work, my music and content gradually started gaining attention across platforms both in China and internationally.

As my audience grew, more producers, artists, and brands began reaching out to collaborate with me. Step by step, music transformed my life into something I once only imagined — becoming an independent music producer able to travel, create, and connect with people around the world through music.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely wasn’t a smooth road in the beginning, one of the biggest struggles was uncertainty. I left my DJ career to focus on music production full-time before I had stability, so there were periods where I didn’t know if things would actually work out.\n\nI was teaching myself everything — production, mixing, sound design, content creation, even communication and branding. There were also moments where I spent months creating music and posting content online without seeing much response.\n\nAnother challenge was finding my own artistic identity.\nAt first, like many producers, I was heavily inspired by other artists and trends. But over time I realized that simply making “good beats” wasn’t enough. I needed to develop a sound, visual style, and creative approach that genuinely represented who I am.\n\nThat process took years of experimentation, self-doubt, and consistency.\n\nAs an independent artist, there’s also pressure to balance creativity with business — managing social media, collaborations, finances, branding, and constant output while still protecting your creativity.\n\nBut looking back, those challenges helped shape me both as an artist and as a person. They forced me to become disciplined, adaptable, and confident in my own voice.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a music producer and music content creator specializing in music production, arrangement, live performance content, and creative visual storytelling.\n\nBeyond producing music, I’m also heavily involved in video production, editing, and concept development. I enjoy building complete creative experiences where the music, visuals, performance, and storytelling all work together.\n\nOver the years, I’ve become especially known for my performance-based music content, including finger drumming, live beat-making, and “Behind the Beats” style videos that showcase the real creative process behind my productions.\n\nSome of the work I’m most proud of includes both my original music releases and the commercial campaigns I’ve created for major music technology brands. Those collaborations received strong audience engagement and helped me build long-term professional relationships within the music industry.\n\nWhat sets me apart is the combination of multiple creative skills.\n\nI’m not only focused on making music — I also think deeply about presentation, storytelling, visual rhythm, audience connection, and how to turn music into an immersive experience.\n\nI also believe my background gives me a unique artistic perspective. My work naturally combines influences from Chinese culture, modern digital creativity, and Western beat culture, which helps my sound and content feel distinct internationally.\n\nMost importantly, I try to create work that feels authentic. Whether it’s a song, a live performance, or branded content, I want people to feel real emotion and human energy behind it.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me through music production, live performance content, brand collaborations, commercial campaigns, creative direction, and social media content projects.\n\nI’m always open to collaborating with artists, producers, brands, and creatives who genuinely care about creativity and quality.\n\nFor me, the most important thing in any collaboration is sincerity and professionalism. I really value people who are honest, respectful, and serious about what they do.\n\nI believe the best creative work happens when both sides trust each other and share the same passion for building something meaningful.\n\nPeople can also support me simply by listening to my music, sharing my work, engaging with my content, and continuing to follow my creative journey. That kind of support genuinely means a lot to independent artists like me.
