Today we’d like to introduce you to Bella Rabbit.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started with a dream. I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to music since I was six. Of course that at the time and as the years went by I couldn’t really fully grasp what it meant then. So I started taking any opportunity that came my way to perform, then I realized a big part of my journey was to write and life put me in different situations to shine in both. My voice and the way this gift was given to me has always opened many doors for me, the writing seals the deal and makes me be able to morph into my storytelling. I’ve been able to have had the opportunity to look at the music industry from different angles. I’ve learned that in the end, the most important thing about life and my career is to be surrounded by people who see the potential in you and that are willing to walk by your side to help you evolve. It wasn’t always the case that I perceived this to be a priority to success. The best lessons are always learned in the hardest ways. From being signed to a Major as part of a duo to rebuilding my narrative and brand to creating uplifting and inspiring music for Tv & Film. Today I’m proud of the music I created by alchemizing feelings of despair and defeat into messages of empowerment and hope. The thing I’m most proud about my journey is the person/artist I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It never is. Existing is quite a gamble. I’m going through a big transition in my life currently, so I’ve been very introspective about the journey I’ve been on and where I want to go. I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned is to forgive myself for making mistakes. Life isn’t so much about winning but rather how you react when you lose. Sometimes it tests us to see our true character through different circumstances.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Recording Artist, Grammy Nominated Songwriter and creator. I like to play different roles that align with the different skills I have and I like to incorporate them into everything I do. I think in the music industry people know me for being a versatile artist whose lyrics resemble her philosophy. I’m a risk taker, sometimes to a fault. I believe we set our own limitations so I like to question mine and create ways to prove them wrong. I also believe I’m a bridge of the two worlds I live in; the Latin and American cultures, I think what sets me apart from others is the way I embody empowerment through vulnerability. I think that I wasn’t able to become an empowering force until I made peace with my vulnerable self. They are polarities, same piece, different end.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Many people have crossed my path and made an impact on my life. But I think I met a community during and post the pandemic that I truly value. This includes collaborators, mentors and supporters. My lawyer Walter Mosley for believing in me since day 1. Producers Julian Feifel, Luke Shrestha, Koko, Cesar Alan, Sak Pase and Sonnemm. Collaborators like Shay Zaid and Simon Jay. I think I learn a lot from the people I work with. And of course Position Music and Baxter House for trusting me with the opportunity to create a product that I’m really proud of when it comes to TV & Film and Advertisement.
