Check Out Aver Hamilton’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aver Hamilton.

Hi Aver, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to LA from Tokyo in 2021 because I knew there was a bigger playing field for me as an actor, voice actor and creator. I spent those first couple years in LA grinding—background roles, standin, UCG, shorts, making my own films-anything to build credits. Now, I’ve got a great balance of part time jobs and acting (film, voice games) that lets me funnel resources into what I’ve always wanted: producing and starring in my own fantasy adventure series, “Desruc.” Now, I’m blending acting, producing, and AI filmmaking to bring that vision to life

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle has been making money to make all things just “go” you know? Then managing my time to train , write , and act so I can keep delivering. It’s funny, even now, in my very good “balance” I’m constantly resisting the urge to buy and spend more on filmmaking, I’m constantly balancing my time and finances for more production! I can’t do it all yet, but I kind of love that. Something to always build and focus on.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an actor and voice actor who excels in acting primarily, then writing, then production. I love adventure-comedy and action genres. I’m proud of leading and executing my ongoing fantasy series ‘Desruc’ —from writing, casting, locations, training actors, fight choreo to production. Without oversharing all this humble bragging I’m doing lol. I’m separated from others cause I’m assiduous: I plan imaginatively but then ground myself realistically and actually put in the work AND follow through to completion (for better or worse lol). I’ve become a high-level hybrid filmmaker, blending AI BG and VFX with REAL actors and REAL performances. Ultimately, when I say I’m going to create something, I grind until it’s real—almost to an obsessive degree. But that’s who I am.

What does success mean to you?
So, for me, I think that if you say you’re gonna do something and follow through, that’s success, no matter how incremental. However at a broader, bigger level, success is when that follow-through actually sustains you, when you can live off your work, even modestly; this means you can keep playing the game! and your word holds weight. So both are success, but integrity plus sustainability is the real full picture of success.
