Today we’d like to introduce you to Anita Nwafor

Hi Anita, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Anita Nwafor, and I am an interior designer based in Texas. I have always done home improvement diys growing up, it’s a talent I got from my mom, so it’s always been a part of me, however I digitalized it in October 2022, I created a social media page for it and started sharing my DIY projects as a content creator, and it was like the world was waiting for me, cos I blew up in months, my projects went viral, people loved it, reposted my work and followed me massively, my growth was really rapid, that people started booking me to make the DIYs I posted on my page for them, it became like a side hustle until the demand grew so high that I had to quit my job and focus solely on interior designing, best decision I ever made.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No my journey hasn’t been smooth, however loving what I do eases the stress, in my early days I struggled with time management, Joggling between my job and creating diy projects was really demanding, I worked 60 hours a week, and had just one day off, which instead of resting, I would create and film 3-4 projects on my day off so I can have contents to post for the week while working at my job, it was a lot, but I derived joy from my diy projects and I was getting lots of positive feedback from viewers, that gave me strength to keep going, plus I had the greatest support system one could ever wish for, my amazing husband was always there holding my hands through it all.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an interior designer, my specialty is turning a dead or empty room into a beautiful and vibrant space, I create beauty out of nothing and that’s my superpower.

Sometimes I watch my before and after videos and I can see why everyone loves my work, indeed my projects are always a beauty to behold.

I am a woman of many talents, my creativity is unique, relatable and so inspiring, and my beautiful personality wears me the best Crown that sets me apart from others, I am a force to reckon with.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Yes I do, my fondest memories were creating diy projects with my mom and siblings, it was always fun watching my mom’s creativity around our home, she left her mark every where, and I grew up with that, now my home has my signature all over it, every inch has Nitta’s touch and that is such a fulfilling feeling

I’m grateful for my mom for impacting her creative knowledge to me, she’s indeed a STRONG WOMAN.
