Today we’d like to introduce you to Joey Reed.

Hi Joey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve already been doing social media and dance videos for a couple of years. It was during covid that we got to take our trend to the next step. We never knew it would just blow up and we would be doing all the traveling. I was accepting unemployment when also doing TikTok with Tosha, who’s also been a friend of mine since I moved o LA in 2017. I made a dance to a popular song that was a model trend called Wrap Me in Plastic by Chromance (Marcus Layton). No one hasn’t made a dance to it so I said, let me try making a dance to this. None of them did as good as I thought so I asked my fans what location we should go next to do and post a TikTok at. That’s when we cracked the code of how we can travel doing this dance and making it a “wtf” moment in people’s heads.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. I think for making videos in a different city daily and posting by 4pm definitely had to put myself, Tosha and Ryan Spicer (videographer) in a creative mindset and we couldn’t always do what people reached out to us for. Missing flights or not hearing back from certain locations or people. We always trusted the process though.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Known for the Wrap Me in Plastic Dance. I’m proud of how many people followed on me this journey and continuing. I believe everyone is hardworking and I’m the social media world “trying to make it.” I think what sets me apart is that when I knew to dab $0.10 into every kind of dance on TikTok and if one of them came back with $0.20, I knew to remake that video again and post it to build more value on my page

Any big plans?
I think for being creative, you don’t know what’s next. I plan on rebranding and maybe doing another traveling series but it has to work in our favor. Also might get into music.
