Antony Gordon on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Antony Gordon and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Antony, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
There aren’t a lot of great actors. Even though alot of people can act pretty well; there is a select few people who are the great actors. It takes dedication and a different mentality to truly take on a character.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My names Antony. I’m an actor originally from Orlando, Florida but I grew up in Riverside, California. I’ve been acting for a large part of my life but I’m not what people would call a child actor. Acting came after music for me but as I grow as an actor I fall in love with it more and more. I have a few upcoming feature films that are in the process of releasing (Social Media Cowboys, Dysphoria) I just hope that my acting touches people. I want people to laugh and be excited to see me on their tv.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve never allowed the world or the masses or anyone tell me who I am. I’ve always taken pride in being different. Whether it’s my hair or what I’m wearing or even how I talk. I’ve never really been normal. Following trends & doing what everybody else does is not in my agenda.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
I miss when everybody didn’t think they were famous or an influencer. It’s like everybody is doing the same thing to try and make quick money. I’ll never knock another mans or womans hustle but there’s no creativity in following someone else.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to being a great actor. I’m already a very good actor & I know what it takes to be great. It’s only a matter of experience for me.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
I already do. Anything I have passion for has already got my best. Acting, making music, and playing basketball all have an irreplaceable spot in my heart. & if I could never do any of those again I would be ok because I’ve already gave them my all. Although acting still has some room.
