Minnie Lo shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Minnie, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
A good nice shower.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, we are Robert and Minnie, the founder of RM Floristry—a creative little studio based in Los Angeles where we bring flowers to life in all kinds of beautiful ways. Our brand started from a simple love for nature and design, and over time it’s grown into something really special. We create everything from Korean-style floral arrangements to handmade pressed flower jewelry and accessories, like earrings, necklaces, and bracelets—all crafted from real flowers. That means every single piece is one-of-a-kind, just like the person wearing it.
Our story actually began when we moved from Taiwan to Los Angeles. I’ve always loved sharing the beauty of life—whether it’s through food, travel, or flowers—and I wanted to bring that spirit into our work here. I trained in floral design in Taiwan before starting RM Floristry, and I still bring those influences into everything we make today.
What I love most about this journey is connecting with people. You’ll usually find us at local markets like Melrose Trading Post, or Torrance Antique Street Faire, where we get to meet so many wonderful customers who share stories, laughs, and a genuine appreciation for handmade art.
What makes RM Floristry unique is that we put our heart into every creation—nothing is mass-produced. It’s all about emotion, craftsmanship, and capturing little moments of beauty that make people smile. And now, we’re slowly expanding beyond flowers with RM Studio, where we’ll continue creating meaningful, nature-inspired pieces that celebrate life’s special moments.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
Internet
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self to believe in your own timing. There’s no need to compare your path with others—your growth, creativity, and confidence will bloom when they’re ready. Keep creating, keep dreaming, and remember that everything you’re doing now, no matter how small, will someday come together in ways you can’t imagine.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to creating something lasting—something that reflects passion, craftsmanship, and genuine connection. Whether it’s RM Floristry or our new direction with RM Studio, I want to build a space where creativity and emotion meet. It’s not just about how fast we grow, but how meaningful our work can be. I believe that if you stay true to your vision and values, success naturally follows.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who turned simple things—like flowers and moments—into memories that lasted. Someone who lived with heart, shared beauty generously, and left the world just a little more colorful than before.
