We’re looking forward to introducing you to JoJo Williams. Check out our conversation below.
JoJo, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I begin my day with self care such as exercise & grounding myself to make sure I am energetically ready for my day. I then make sure my studio is prepared to invite guests in for the best experience ever. I check lighting, aromas and playlist to create intention for the day. Lastly I review my guests profile to familiarize myself with their needs & preferences so that I may provide a customized experience.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am an intuitive bodyworker providing specialized care for the body, mind & spirit. I customize each session to meet the needs of my guests. I specialize in prenatal, postnatal and infant bodywork. I am currently exciting to be offering my newest service, face sculpting which offers guests a natural face lift appearance & somatic skin healing experience.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child I knew I wanted to do something holistic for people but thought I would never succeed or be good at it. I now know with all my heart I was destined to be a holistic provider and help others heal.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
In my career I have faced many health issues that have limited how I provide services as a bodyworker and business owner. I am diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and lymphedema to my right leg. The health issues have at many times caused me to almost give up. I have learned that through balancing out my responsibilities, medical care and self care, this has allowed me to maintain my health issues which has allowed me to not give up my career. Glad I did not give up. It is all about balance!
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
One of the things I always strive for is the be my true authentic self in all aspects of my life. What the public sees is the real me no matter where those encounter me. I believe this allows others to feel safe and know that I am a trusted person.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
The intention behind every detail in services and the customized approach I offer for my guests.
