Hi Demi., thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I am coming up in a year in November of becoming a homeowner! It’s been fun working on projects and decorating!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Demi! I’m originally from the Los Angeles area and now reside in the outskirts of Nashville! I’m a natural hair influencer of 14 years. I also create lifestyle and beauty content. Regardless of the misconceptions natural hair is as easy as you make and maintain it. I am self taught in my own hair care and did my own research on what works for me as well as helping others achieve their desired results. I wish to one day have my own hair product and one day secure a permanent brand deal with one of numerous companies out there.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I feel as though lack of communication breaks bonds between people and it can also restore it depending on the situation, good or bad. Communication is key as they say and I wholeheartedly believe that!
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
No matter what never live your life based on someone else’s opinion. Do what makes you happy!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the real ME! I’ve never been one to post to be anything other than myself. My morals and values wouldn’t allow me to.
