We’re looking forward to introducing you to Christine Mitchell. Check out our conversation below.
Christine, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
When I wake up I usually spend some time praying doing a devotional. Afterwards I change and get a workout in. At the beginning of the year I completed the 75 hard challenge and it totally changed my fitness lifestyle. Then I make some breakfast and usually head to work if it’s a work day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a 37 year old la native that enjoys the finer details in life. My addiction to unique sparkly things fuels my business. I’ve also been a hairstylist for over 15 years, giving me a keen eye and appreciation for individuality. My jewelry brand is called NOTICE and when it comes to the chain on your neck or the hair on your head I know how to make look and feel your best giving you the extra confidence that gets you noticed.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I used to believe that I didn’t have the motivation for drive to chase a dream or society’s version of success. However once I was in my late 20s I was bitten by the passion bug which led me to pursue my interests and gave me an excited electric feeling that I noticed in other go getters. Just because I don’t become giddy over finance, tech, or philanthropy does not mean I lack drive. Creativity and a personal touch can truly be your area to shine.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I can’t say I resonate with any of these particular questions. I have a a very strong faith, a wonderful support system and I’m very confident My outlook toward hardships or sadness are seen through a very realistic lens and I’m a problem solver so nothing keeps me down long thankfully. So maybe I would tell my younger self that “your perspective humor and intellect will always appreciated.”
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say honesty really matters to me. That’s where truth and growth lives and without it everything else would be very superficial.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I don’t care too much for quotes but there is a saying by Maya Angelou that’s says “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” This has always stuck with me because it’s true. Being kind is so important and it’s free. Also we never know what others are going through and how many first impressions we get with people.
