Life & Work with Laura Grigoryan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Grigoryan

Hi Laura, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Laura Grigoryan, a nurse practitioner and founder of Fix Me Up Medical Spa. My journey into aesthetics began with a passion for nursing and the art of enhancing natural beauty. I knew early on that aesthetics was my calling, combining clinical expertise with creativity to help clients feel their best.

Fix Me Up was born from this vision, offering personalized treatments tailored to each client’s unique features. Prior to this, I launched a successful business at 21, which gave me the experience to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship.

Today, as a national trainer for Allergan Medical Institute and founder of FMU Academy, I’m proud to share my knowledge with the next generation of injectors. Creating natural, individualized results is at the heart of everything we do at Fix Me Up.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Starting Fix Me Up Medical Spa came with its own set of challenges, especially as I launched it during the pandemic. Navigating the uncertainty of those early days was tough, and there were moments where the future felt unclear. Balancing the medical side of the business with the demands of entrepreneurship was also a steep learning curve.

One of the biggest struggles was building a client base from scratch and establishing trust in a highly competitive industry. It took resilience, hard work, and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality results to earn that trust. There were also logistical challenges, like securing the right space, managing supplies, and assembling a reliable team. Each hurdle taught me valuable lessons that helped shape the business into what it is today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Fix Me Up Medical Spa, I specialize in aesthetic treatments that enhance natural beauty, focusing on facial balancing using dermal fillers and neurotoxins. I’m most known for my non-surgical nose fixes, where I use fillers to create beautifully refined, natural-looking results without surgery. My motto is “subtle but effective”—helping clients feel more confident while maintaining a natural, refreshed appearance.

What sets me apart is my combination of medical expertise and artistic approach. I take the time to understand each client’s unique facial structure and goals, designing personalized treatment plans that highlight their best features.

I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built with my clients and the growth of Fix Me Up Medical Spa. As a national trainer for Allergan Medical Institute, I also have the privilege of educating other injectors. Sharing my knowledge through FMU Academy and helping shape the next generation of injectors continues to inspire and drive me forward.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is building trust with my clients and creating results that enhance their confidence while staying true to their natural beauty. In this field, trust is everything—clients are putting their appearance in your hands, so it’s crucial that they feel understood and confident in the process.

I also believe in ongoing education. Staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and sharing that knowledge with others is a big part of my work, whether through training other injectors or improving my own skills. This commitment to learning ensures that I’m always providing the highest level of care and the most advanced treatments.

Ultimately, what drives me is seeing the positive impact that even subtle enhancements can have on someone’s self-esteem. When a client leaves feeling more confident and comfortable in their own skin, that’s what makes this work so fulfilling.
