Allow me to take you on a brief journey through my past and present, as I encapsulate the essence of my aspirations and ambitions.

Originating from the charming town of Louisville, Kentucky, I was raised in an environment rich in Southern hospitality and steeped in a vibrant culture. It is with great pride that I fondly regard myself as a Southern Belle at heart, with a deep appreciation for the values instilled in me during my formative years.

As I reflect on my childhood in Louisville, I am reminded not of limitations, but of boundless dreams and aspirations. From imaginative adventures in backyard realms to exploratory road trips that ignited my wanderlust, I fostered a deep-seated passion for travel and exploration from a young age. The prospect of immersing myself in diverse cultures, traversing distant lands, and forging connections with people of varied backgrounds has always enthralled me, fueling my desire for new experiences.

Currently, I am a resident of the dynamic and multicultural state of California, a shift that stands in stark contrast to the tranquil landscapes of my youth. However, I embraced this change wholeheartedly, recognizing it as a significant stride towards realizing my goal of becoming a corporate flight attendant. With California being deemed a gateway to a successful career in aviation, I wanted to embark on this journey and bring my aspirations to fruition.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being an African American flight attendant in today’s America brings a unique set of difficulties.

One of the prominent challenges is the constant struggle with baseless stereotypes and bias.

This bias can manifest in many forms, such as differential treatment, lack of career advancement opportunities, and minimal support from higher-ups in handling racially-motivated conflicts.

Addressing these challenges is crucial to creating an inclusive, equitable, and supportive working environment. As industry leaders, we must ensure that African American flight attendants are provided the same rights, opportunities, and respect as their fellow professionals.

As you know, we’re big fans of Exclusive InFlight. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am the Founder of Exclusive InFlight, an esteemed aviation consulting firm. Alongside my role as a dedicated Founder, I am also a corporate flight attendant, catering to the elite clientele within the aviation industry.
