Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Avetisyan
Hi Anna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Many ask me why I am involved in two such different careers; music and real estate; I reply “Music is my passion, real estate is my calling.”
I began my piano studies at the age of 6. She graduated from Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California in 2019 with Honors (Cum Laude), Piano Performance major. I studied with Dr. Stewart L. Gordon and Dr. Peter Green. I am awarded Professional Piano Diploma for qualification as an accompanist, ensemble performer, instrumental performer and teacher from Musical College after A. Babajanyan in Yerevan, Armenia, where I studied with such well-respected pedagogues as composer Dr. Ashot Zohrabyan and pianist Ms Elena Galstyan. I have participated in many piano concerts, competitions and performed as a soloist both in Armenia and United States. I am a member of Music Teacher’s Association of CA (MTAC) and Golden Key Association; USC Chapter. I am also a recipient of many prestigious awards and scholarships, such as Dean’s Honor List for academic achievement, (Thornton School of Music, USC, September, 2017), Dick Charles Memorial Scholarship and Helen Nern Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence, (July, 2015, USA), Alicia Thorp Scholarship, Markrouhi Jamgochian Scholarship and Jane Knecht Scholarship for academic excellence, (July 2014, USA), Honorable Mention Certificate for Sonata/Sonatina Competition by MTNA (April, 2015, USA), Musical Honorarium for concert dedicated to 100th commemoration of Armenian Genocide (April, 2015, USA), 1st Prize recipient of Senior Piano Performer by Armenian Allied Arts Annual Competition (May, 2014, USA), “The Best of Show and Most Promising Talent” by Armenian Allied Arts Annual Competition (June 2014, USA), Second Prize recipient of Piano Honor’s Competition by CAMPT (February, 2014 USA).
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Managing multiple business comes with their fair share of difficulties, from navigating financial challenges to juggling multiple responsibilities and adapting to ever-changing market conditions. Despite these obstacles, I approach every aspect of my work with unwavering dedication. I give it my all, making personal sacrifices and putting in long hours to ensure success. It is also hard to balance the demands of running a business with personal life, but my commitment to delivering the best results drives me forward. The challenges are significant, but my relentless effort and perseverance are what make the journey worthwhile. It is essential to provide high-quality services to my clients to gain trust and loyalty both in music and real estate. Each challenge I face is a learning opportunity, and I find genuine satisfaction in overcoming obstacles. I believe that success is a journey, not a destination.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I founded Piano Forte Music and Art Academy in 2019, weeks after graduating USC. At Piano forte Music and Art Academy our dedicated team of 13 professional teachers passionately serve over 170 students each week, nurturing a love for music that encompasses keyboard, percussion, string, and woodwind instruments. Through our art and chess group lessons, we aim to identify talented and bright students. Annually, we curate art showcases, host chess tournaments, and arrange recitals and recordings for our students. In addition, our students successfully pass Certificate of Merit Exams organized by Music Teachers Association of CA annually. Currently Piano forte Music and Art Academy has two locations; Lancaster/Antelope Valley and Marina Del Rey. I plan on opening third location in North LA area very soon. We collaborate with various school districts, including Gorman, Blue Ridge, and Sage Oak, to make music more accessible to a broader range of children. Additionally, we partner with organizations like Acumen and the Regional Center to further expand these opportunities.
In addition to music, I have a profound passion for real estate and proudly work with Coldwell Banker Hallmark Realty in CA after passing my CA real estate exam from my first attempt. I am a member of the Pasadena/Foothill Realtor Association, NAR and CAR. Specializing in residential transactions, I prioritize my clients’ needs to deliver exceptional services in the Greater Los Angeles area. I help my clients successfully buy, sell, lease or invest properties.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I find immense joy in witnessing my students excel in the music field, whether they’re reaching their goals, passing their CM exams, or achieving other significant milestones. Similarly, it brings me great satisfaction to see my clients secure the properties they desire. These successes not only highlight the positive impact of my work but also reaffirm my commitment to helping others realize their dreams and aspirations.
