Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Astarte
Hi Anna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m originally from Ukraine and came to the U.S. about 2.5 years ago as a refugee. Before moving, I was already a successful trichologist back home, where I built a thriving business and helped many people restore their hair health. My career was going really well, and I was proud of what I achieved in Ukraine. Moving to the U.S. was a big challenge, but my skills and experience allowed me to continue doing what I love here. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new country, I found the strength and motivation to rebuild my career in trichology.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been an easy road. Moving to a new country is always challenging, and for me, it was especially tough because I had to adapt to a new culture, a new language, and basically start my career over from scratch. Back in Ukraine, I was already a successful specialist, well-known and trusted. But here in the U.S., I had to prove myself all over again, find new clients, and figure out different professional standards.
On top of that, the legal side was tough—getting work authorization, licenses, and all the documents I needed to continue my profession. That process was long and exhausting. I didn’t have close family or support here, so I had to handle everything on my own, which made it even harder. But despite all of that, I found the strength to keep moving forward.
As you know, we’re big fans of Anna Astarte Trichologist/Hair Doctor . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I work in trichology, focusing on restoring hair and scalp health. My work includes diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, and care recommendations.
I try to create a trusting environment where clients can openly discuss their concerns and expectations. It’s rewarding to see people gain confidence as they start to see results.
I’m proud to offer a personalized approach that considers each person’s unique needs. This allows me to be more effective and helps clients better understand and address their issues.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is seeing the positive impact I can have on my clients’ lives. When someone comes to me feeling unsure or frustrated about their hair and leaves with renewed confidence, it brings me so much joy.
I also find happiness in continuous learning and growing in my field. Each new technique or piece of knowledge I acquire fuels my passion for what I do. Finally, I cherish moments spent with friends and loved ones, as those connections remind me of the importance of support and community, especially after my journey here.
These aspects of my life not only bring me joy but also motivate me to keep pushing forward in my career and personal growth.
