Today we’d like to introduce you to Zissy Castillo

Zissy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My passion for food started back when I was 14. I remember my parents had a food venue where I preferred spending my Saturdays helping out in that space than anywhere else. Although later on in my life I was a TV producer, I realized that my real passion always lied within the kitchen. That decision led me to attend culinary school, more specifically Le Gourdon Blue where I graduated as a chef! The road has not been easy starting from scratch, but I know that doing what you love and being persistent in it that life can grant you many successes.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a brand new business will always have its struggles. The biggest ones in my experience are finding the audience you are trying to reach and learning how to put value within the work you do

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The aspects I am most proud of and what I enjoy most in my job is seeing people enjoy our food. Not only in the form of people directly telling us but with the clients who have stuck by our side for years and keep coming back for more. What I think makes us stand out is knowing how to curate unique experiences for my clients, we always take pride in our customer service.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The industry has vastly changed with the introduction of social media. Which has already been an extreme help but it does add a layer of work that can be difficult at first.
