Meet Enni Tattoo of Art district, Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Enni Tattoo

Hi Enni, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Art has been a constant in my life. I graduated from art school with a major in academic drawing, and from a young age, I used creativity to express myself. When I started tattooing at 16 years old, I knew I had found my true passion. It wasn’t just about creating art, it was about connecting with people and helping them tell their stories through my designs.

At the time, I had already been accepted into an architecture university in Europe. Everyone around me: family, friends, and even people within the tattoo industry told me I was making a mistake by turning it down. They believed I was throwing away a stable, prestigious career. But I was certain my decision, even though it came with uncertainty and no guarantees.

The early years were tough. I worked relentlessly, often without a single day off. I spent hours learning new techniques, drawing every day, and improving my skills. I went through long stretches where I didn’t earn any money. There were moments when I could barely afford my basic needs, but I refused to give up. Looking back, those were some of the hardest times of my life, but they shaped who I am as an artist and taught me resilience.

As my skills grew, I started traveling to different countries, working in various tattoo studios around the world. Traveling on my own was often challenging, especially being in new places where I didn’t know anyone. But those experiences were invaluable, they pushed me out of my comfort zone and exposed me to new techniques, cultures, and ways of thinking. I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible artists and people. Every tattoo convention, every studio I worked in, brought me closer to developing my own unique style.

Today, I live and work in Los Angeles, and I am incredibly happy with where I am. I’m surrounded by supportive and caring people who believe in me and my art. My journey wasn’t easy, but it has reinforced my belief that following your passion is always the right choice, no matter how challenging it may be. I encourage others to listen to their souls and pursue their dreams. The obstacles are worth it when you’re doing what you truly love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Regarding the challenges, looking back, I actually remember them with a bit of nostalgia. Even though some moments were tough, I tend to focus on the positive, and with time, those challenges feel like part of a journey that I now see as good times. I believe that if you’re a positive person, you end up remembering only the good things.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a micro realistic tattoo artist, specializing in highly detailed and complex color realistic tattoos, though I also work with black and gray when it suits the design or the client’s vision. What sets me apart is my professional background in drawing, which allows me to create intricate designs with a high level of precision, no matter the size or complexity. My unique style has developed over years of dedication, practice, and passion, making each tattoo a work of art that truly reflects the client’s story.

I’m most proud of the fact that my work brings happiness to people. Seeing how my art can have such a positive impact on someone’s life is incredibly fulfilling, and it’s the reason I pour so much energy into every tattoo I create. My goal is to ensure that each person leaves with not just a tattoo, but a piece of art they’ll carry proudly forever.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
As for the Covid-19 crisis, I was in Europe during that time, and the restrictions weren’t as strict as they were in the USA. Many businesses remained open, and in some countries, there were hardly any signs of the pandemic at all. Of course, this varied a lot from country to country, but overall, things felt relatively normal except for the fact that everyone started wearing masks, which, in my opinion, did not really work.
