Daily Inspiration: Meet Jojo Guadagno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jojo Guadagno

Hi Jojo, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started when I first moved to LA 10 years ago. People started taking notice in me and started booking me to appear and dance in their music videos. I started building up a fan base especially from my features in Todrick Hall music videos; which lead me to take and interest in the dance style twerking. I joined the most prominent Twerk class in the world LexTwerkout owned by Lexy Panterra. I eventually became an instructor an her protege where I was filming with and being featured on TV shows and working with some of the top creators in the fitness industry. Eventually I made my way to West Hollywood where I started as a Dancer and quickly worked my way up to become an MC and promoter throwing my own parties. Through my exposure and years working in West Hollywood I’ve gotten the opportunity work on and create my own music and Music Videos which somehow landed me on the cover of The New York Times and with a billboard in Time Square. I also took a detour and managed to be on 3 seasons of Vanderpump Rules. It’s been a crazy journey.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part it has been a very smooth road but I would be lying if I told you I don’t hit bumps every so often. one big struggle is definitely people taking me seriously because of how I portray my personality online. I think me as a person is a lot more calm, serious and responsible then most people would expect given my social media content. I think another big struggle I face is the fact that I am such a people pleaser. I always put other people before myself and sometimes forget to give myself the love I so easily give out.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Hip Hop artist from New York. I am definitely know for my ability to Twerk and MC the hottest parties every night of the week in West Hollywood. I’m also a TV personality, actor and model. Basically I can do it all. You got a pay check I got a talent. I’m most proud of song Big Checks, it’s so fireeee y’all should listen to it! Also, being that I’m from NY I’m super proud to have been on the cover of The New York Times with a feature inside the paper as well. Definitely a dream come true.

What makes you happy?
The thing that makes me most happy is to be back home in New York with my family. I think because I’m such a motivated and driven person I am constantly in a battle trying to work and hustle and better myself. When I’m home in NY I just feel like I put my whole life on pause and I can let all my worries go out the window. I’m with my family, who really my mom dad and brother are my 3 longest running best friends ever, and I’m just at peace. I’m an Italian boy from NY we’re family men.
