Today we’d like to introduce you to Sydney Ponce
Hi Sydney, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up my I spent a lot of time at my Oma’s (grandma) & my grandpa had a very nice Cannon DSLR camera. I would use it and photograph plants in the garden or would bring it to my brothers soccer games. I fell in love with it. From then on I started to take photos of people, friends and family. I eventually bought my own camera a Sony. I began getting asked to shoot parties and other small events. Overtime I slowly started to form my small business and continue to grow. I’ve been able to shoot for upcoming brands, fashion magazines and lots of amazing people!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although it started as a hobby it has been quite difficult to navigate how to start a successful business. I knew taking professional photos was something I wanted to pursue so decide to quit my job to be able to give my all in photography. The hardest part for me has been the consistency of clients and getting my name out there. I am aware I am new in this business so hope I can only grow from here!

I am a photographer! I love to focus on shooting people as everyone is unique and every photoshoot is a different experience. Ive been blessed to work with some awesome creatives & met some amazing people.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love LA, it is filled with so many amazing creatives and is a place full of opportunities. The only complaint I have is that LA traffic makes it hard to travel to shoots.
