Today we’d like to introduce you to Karol Dias

Hi Karol , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Karol Dias. I have been a tattoo artist for 10 years. I started my career in Brazil, in a small town where I was born and raised, Umuarama-PR. Three years after starting in tattooing, I moved to São Paulo, and many doors opened for me. Through hard work and dedication, I built my client base in São Paulo and gradually outside Brazil, which is when I decided it was time to explore new horizons and chose Los Angeles to be my home.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I can’t say it was easy; tattooing is a daily challenge. Dealing with clients, their dreams, and especially the fact that a tattoo is theoretically permanent requires a lot of responsibility and, of course, presents some challenges.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My style is botanical and floral, and I am best known for it. It’s this style that has brought me to where I am and continues to bring me closer to my dreams. I work with fine lines and almost always freehand. I like to sketch directly on the client’s body so that each piece of art is unique.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Yes, for the first time, I’m talking about this… At the beginning of next year, I’m going to take a reasonably long ‘vacation’ to rest and take care of personal matters, so my schedule will be closed for a while. If you plan to get tattooed by me, I advise you to hurry.”
