Community Highlights: Meet Marcela Navarrete of Ambition Unleashed Podcast

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcela Navarrete

Hi Marcela, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a philanthropist with a passion for changing the world. I have a deep desire to serve others. When I was young, I was in a terrible accident that almost took my life. I met God and knew I was saved to do good in the world. Later in life, I woke up one day and lost my motor skills and ability to walk. I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme disease and struggled with seizures every hour of every day. Again, I was reminded that I was put on this Earth to serve others as best I can. I dedicated myself to running a charity called Model Citizen Fund. Model Citizen Fund provides backpacks filled with150 emergency supply items to the homeless as well as providing toys to children all over the country with The World’s Toy Drive. My philanthropic ventures do not stop with the homeless. I have traveled the world helping various charities raise money, as well as helping politicians create change. I’m a seasoned entrepreneur with a background in Engineering. My newest venture is Ambition Unleashed Podcast. My podcast is featured on Apple Podcasts and YouTube. Ambition Unleashed Podcast is not just another podcast, but rather a community. I created a platform designed to empower individuals and allow them to break free from their comfort zones, embrace their visions, and embark on a path to success.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No! But, I believe that none of us truly have a smooth road in life. I believe that obstacles are placed in our lives to help us pivot so that we can steer towards our destiny. My biggest struggle to get to where I am today, was overcoming my frequent seizures. It was difficult to do anything and took quite a bit of adjusting.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ambition Unleashed Podcast ?
While I was experiencing my frequent seizures and inability to work, I struggled finding creative ways to earn income. I would work lots of little side jobs and run and hide in a bathroom while I had my seizure. I would hide under tables or in corners of a room. I knew that I had to create something for myself allowing me to work in a setting without fear of being fired. So, I created a platform to help people who may not be going through Chronic Lyme disease, but still struggling with the feeling of being lost and not knowing how to make money. I originally created a podcast which has now evolved into live events as well. I bring people together and allow space for them to be honest, vulnerable and share obstacles in their life that are inhibiting them from reaching their full potential. I bring in experts in different industries to help guide those individuals needing help.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see podcasts being used more and more as an opportunity for people to learn and grow. I’m incredibly excited for the growth of the podcast world.
