Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyana Abonales
Hi Alyana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was a kid, I knew I was always creative. I was very open-minded and wanted to try painting, arts & crafts, music, and photography. In high school, my interest in photography and being in front of the camera grew, which I feel laid the foundation for my current love for content-creating.
It began as a slow journey, but this year I chose to step out of my comfort zone and share my passions and experiences to inspire others who aspire to become content creators.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road for me as life often presents challenges. I would say the main struggles that held me back from starting my content-creating journey for so long, were my insecurities and self-doubt. I was so focused on wanting everything “perfect” before starting, that it prevented me from actually starting.
I’ve since realized that it doesn’t have to be perfect because you will learn and grow through the process. What truly matters is simply just starting and having fun with it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a nursing student and what I am most proud of is me finishing up my last semester of nursing school. Balancing nursing school and learning the logistics/business side of content-creating can be a bit of a challenge, but I know it will all be worth it!
On the side, I collaborate with brands to help promote their products/services on my platform or their social media accounts. My content is centered on the things I love: my faith, beauty, and all things self-care. What sets me apart from others, aside from my creativity, is my dedication, resilience, and ability to connect with people. I strive to deliver quality content that aligns with the brands I am partnered with, as well as, share content that will inspire and encourage others to pursue their dreams no matter what.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was when my family would throw a lot of house parties. It was fun when my cousins came over. We’d run around the house, eat all the delicious Filipino food, and sing karaoke all night.
