Rising Stars: Meet Dora Reaza of Riverside

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dora Reaza

Hi Dora, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hello my name is Dora Reaza. i am 44 years old. i am the daughter of immigrants that came to the US in the 70s. My parents settled in the city of . Riverside . I am a Riverside native. My mother is from Fresnillo, Zacatecas Mexico. My father is from Guatabampo, Sonora Mexico. He is Yaqui tribe. I am 61.3% Indigenous American from Yaqui tribe. Now i am a Reiki Master. I started my Reiki journey when my mom passed away. She passed away May 4th 2020 from Covid. She passed away in the house in her bedroom. She was an essential worker. She worked at Riverside Community Hospital for 24 years. She contracted Covid while working and passed away 4 days later. It was really hard on me. I was devastated. For two weeks all I did was cry. A friend introduced me to a Reiki master. I drove all the way to Victorville and received a Reiki. It was life changing. I immediately felt the internal pressure leave my body. As I kept going for more Reiki sessions. I felt the healing from the inside out. My soul was being healed and I could finally breathe and function in the world. I went through all the classes to become a Reiki Master. And now I have clients that I love to help. Reiki gives me a deep satisfaction that I am helping people heal from things they don’t speak of. Reiki heals your soul first. I love seeing my clients heal . Seeing them have releases from internal traumas from the past. Now I have clients that come to my space too get a healing and I also do mobile services. I go to peoples homes and give them a Reiki session in the comfort of their own home.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My parents both immigrated here from Mexico. They separated when I was about 1 year old. my whole life was my mom and I. When she passed away I was completely devastated. I couldn’t function. She passed away from Covid. There was no funeral. No gathering. Just me spiraling into depression.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
now I am a Reiki Master. I am a master in Tibetan Reiki and Usui/Holy Fire Reiki. I have also taken courses in Pendulum, Herbology soap making, aromatherapy and candle making. I incorporate all these techniques into giving my clients the best care possible. . I make personalized soaps for my clients Each client is different and their needs are different. All these techniques help me give my clients the best service possible. I am known for a healer. I am very good with herbs. I am a Yaqui. I am proud of helping others relieve their traumas. It gives me great satisfaction for a client to release trauma.

How do you think about happiness?
my clients make me happy. Being of service and helping people make me happy. I have found my mission in life. I plan on doing Reiki sessions till I die.
