Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Raymond

Hi Brooke, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Brooke Raymond is a distinguished color and extensions specialist with over eight years of experience in content creation and social media. Her journey began in high school with “Braids by Brooke,” where she crafted beautiful hairstyles for friends and family attending dances. From the outset, Brooke leveraged social media and innovative marketing strategies to build a thriving, fully booked business behind the chair.

Education has been a cornerstone of Brooke’s success, driving her to continually refine her skills and become the accomplished stylist she is today. Her primary goal is to empower other stylists to reach their full potential and turn their dream lives into reality. She passionately believes that there are no limits to success or clientele, often saying, “I believe there is no cap on success or clients. We should all have full books.”

Having educated over 200 students across the country in 2024, she now works full time traveling to educate beauty service providers about social media + AI. Brooke’s love for social media is matched only by her passion for the hair industry, which she sees as a powerful force for inspiring people to look and feel their best and inspire good in the world.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have struggled a lot with perfectionism throughout my career and have had to overcome that to achieve the levels of success that I have and will in the future. One way I have done that is implementing simple acts of self compassion throughout the day- such as positive affirmations and journaling. I also try really hard not to over consume content to preserve my unique flavor and style.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a cosmetologist, educator and social media expert. In the salon I specialize in blondes, bridal styling and lived-in color. I have been in social media for 8 years and content creation has always been a passion of mine. I am most proud of my ability to fail often, and use that as information to learn from to do better. I have never let failure scare me away from pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I think what sets me apart the most is my passion and desire to succeed not only in the beauty industry but also in the social media space as a content creator. I also am one of the only educators in the beauty space educating stylists how to utilize AI to improve their experience behind the chair.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a shy kid at school in my younger years but I always had a lot of personality. As a preteen, I started a YouTube channel to post hair tutorials, makeup and lifestyle content. I have always loved all things beauty. I was an extremely devoted dancer growing up, spending up to 36 hours a week by age 12. Those long hours taught me so much about hard work, dedication and responsibility. Dance also taught me the importance of putting yourself out there to stand out on purpose. If you didn’t stand out in the dance world, you didn’t get considered for the scholarships at conventions. So I definitely gained a lot of the skills I use in my career today as a competitive dancer.
