Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonia Begonia

Hi Sonia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been passionate about the lifestyle and entertainment space. My journey began when I started modeling at 19. I then went to UCLA to study communications, which led me to become an assistant celebrity publicist. During this time, I also helped build an indie streaming service for TV and movies in West Hollywood.

However, not soon after I was diagnosed with DFSP – a type of cancer, prompting me to move back to the Bay Area for surgery. My LA dream of being in Hollywood weren’t over, I knew I wanted to bring glamour and style to the Bay Area. This experience led me to start Sonia Begonia, a lifestyle blog and platform dedicated to helping people be their best selves without breaking the bank.

Today, I work in tech in Silicon Valley during the day, but my heart is in Los Angeles, where I spend almost half my time. At night, I focus on Sonia Begonia. What started as a simple blog has evolved into a multifaceted business. I earn top commissions as an LTK and Amazon affiliate, manage influencers for Modern Day Wife, and sell a best-selling Instagram planner on Amazon. Additionally, I offer a course on making money by reviewing products on Amazon and collaborate with large organizations for sponsored content.

I have been invited to or attended various Hollywood Galas like the Gracie Awards (I met Kristen Wiig), the Emmys, LTKcon, and Amazon’s creator summits (I sat front row to hear Kris Jenner speak and spent time with Jessica Alba).

Last year, my business soared, earning more than double my tech job salary. My mission is to empower women to have multiple income streams, allowing them to live their best lives for themselves and their families – and to help them look fabulous while doing it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting and growing Sonia Begonia also came with its own set of challenges. Balancing a demanding (but incredible) 9-5 tech job while dedicating time and energy to my blog at night was often exhausting. There were countless late nights and early mornings where I had to push through fatigue to create content, manage collaborations, and engage with my audience.. all before work began!

Another struggle was navigating the competitive world of influencer marketing. Building a brand from the ground up required persistence, creativity, and continuous learning. There were times when growth felt slow, and it was challenging to stay motivated.

Despite these hurdles, each challenge taught me resilience and adaptability. Overcoming these obstacles has made the successes even more rewarding and has fueled my passion for helping others navigate their own journeys.

As the founder of Sonia Begonia, a lifestyle blog and platform, I specialize in creating content that helps people live their best lives without spending a fortune. My work spans across various domains including fashion, beauty, and lifestyle advice. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with well-known brands like Walmart, Revlon, T3, and many others, bringing valuable and relatable content to my audience.

I strive to make my content not only helpful but also engaging and humorous. I believe that adding a touch of humor makes the information more relatable and enjoyable for my viewers.

One of the achievements I’m most proud of is transforming Sonia Begonia into a multifaceted business.
