Today we’d like to introduce you to Franco Galvan.
Hi Franco, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started on TV. I’m really a filmmaker. But I’ve worked in TV, Film, Theatre, Conventions, Experiential Experiences, Concerts, Advertising and Animation.
I got here by never giving up.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a smooth road. Ever. For no one. There’s always struggles. My main one was stopping my life to make sure my mom was taken care of when she got sick. She was on dialysis, and stuff those years were hard AF.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve directed short films, a feature, I’m currently producing a short. All that just sounds boring, but that’s what I do.
Yesterday I built a jib arm for a live event for screen legend Martin Sheen in Anaheim.
So that’s the long vision, and that’s what I did yesterday.
I’m most proud of the fact my film, which was shot in Hollywood, will be out later this year. And that I make a living by doing things like building jib cameras and working on Apple TV productions or movie premieres etc.
What makes you happy?
Weed makes me happy because it’s so medicinal and helps me concentrate.
It’s because of the terrapins and THC in it.
It’s completely undervalued and misunderstood by mainstream society.
