Today we’d like to introduce you to Piper Moretti
Hi Piper, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I came into real estate as a part-time job between television shows back in 2015. About a year and a half into it, I completed the 1st bitcoin real estate transaction in Southern California and my real estate career took off from that. I managed to find a unique niche in such a competitive industry, and I am now CEO and Broker of The Crypto Realty Group, specializing in crypto concierge, real estate, and tech. It’s been an amazing ride.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Is it ever? I received some heavy-duty notoriety that I wasn’t completely prepared for in the beginning. I was heads-down trying to solve problems for my clients and then all of a sudden people started to pay attention to what we were doing. I had a huge learning curve ahead of me and realized there was a very large gap between technology and the real estate industry. On one hand, my colleagues were fascinated that we could do these types of transactions, and widely viewed as a novelty and with heavy skepticism. I bounced from brokerage to brokerage, each promising they could support my endeavors, and they just couldn’t (or wouldn’t) deliver. Some colleagues would want to partner with me, but only to ride the coattails. It was a very lonely feeling. On the flip side, I’m getting more and more out there in the news in both real estate and the crypto outlets, and I ended up getting hacked twice and lost everything. Looking back, I was naive in thinking it couldn’t happen to me, but now I’ve taking these painful lessons and teach others how to lock it all down while benefiting from a new way of completing real estate transactions.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We’re at the intersection of blockchain and real estate. I’m one of the very, very few licensed brokers who does these types of transactions as well as educate real estate professionals and the public about it. On top of traditional and crypto real estate transactions, we also offer consulting services, asset management and support.
What sets us apart:
– We have a DRE-regulated escrow with crypto-enabled services
– We help other real estate professionals complete their crypto transactions
– We are established, experienced and licensed leadership in real estate and blockchain
– We are developing proprietary tech for digital asset transactions and processes
– We have completed over $14M in completed crypto-real estate deals
– We offer cost-effective traditional and crypto property transactions
– We empower professionals with up-to-date knowledge in the digital age
Out of this, our end-goal is to help democratize real estate so it can be readily available to all.
What’s next?
We’re looking forward to growing and scaling our business to meet the needs of this growing demographic of real estate investors. Bitcoin (the gold standard) will trace up to 6 figures in the very near future, and we’re here for it. There is already an established generation of newly-found wealth through crypto investments, and we’re servicing them from top to bottom. It’s an exciting time.
