Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Burton.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey began as a rising journalist from Illinois, wanting to be heard by the world. After becoming an Award-Winning Journalist in 2019, I knew that my talents and gifts could not be denied anymore. As a journalist, I can write anything and retain copious amounts of information. Because of that, I am able to utilize my gift to help others, and that is most rewarding. But I am more than just a journalist. I am a poet, singer, and songwriter. As music is meant to heal, that Is what it does to me daily, and I decided that I want to create art that can stand the test of time like those whose music I find healing in. In this phase of my life, I am doing just that. Some of us are gifted to do multiple things, and I believe in taking advantage of all of your god given abilities. So where I am today is in a high state of existence and understanding that as long as you are living in your purpose, your wildest dreams are destined to come true.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth ride by far. Moving to Los Angeles 8 and a half months ago has been a journey in itself. I sacrificed everything, left my family behind, with limited resources to chase my dreams like never before. Without having your support system close, it gets tough, so your faith has to be strong if you are on a journey like mine. You will have sleepless nights, your faith will be questioned, and your so-called friends turn to enemies so fast. LA is not for the weak, so you are constantly tested. I have to remind myself that I am on a path only God has control of so no man or woman can interfere with his plan. It is not easy, trust me. But to know I am doing something that brings pour joy to my soul makes all the struggle, grit, and hardship so worth it.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am known for being an Award-Winning Journalist and publicist. But all of that will change soon as I have major plans in store. I specialize in helping people and businesses gain more exposure for their brands through organic marketing and storytelling. But that is not what I want to be known for. I want to be known for utilizing my gift as a writer, vocalist, and truth-teller to help the world achieve more peace and prosperity. I do not want to be boxed in as just a journalist and publicist. However, I am most proud of becoming an Award-Winning Journalist because it reaffirms that my passion for writing has resonated with thousands of people all across the world who appreciates the art of journalism. I am forever grateful for that honor and title and will never take it for granted.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
Ha! I have never been a lucky person, but always a hard-working one. So, to answer this question correctly, I have experienced a lot of bad luck in my career and life. However, when you have faith, you don’t need luck! God has brought me through the craziest situations, business ordeals, and relationships. So bad or good luck doesn’t bother me anymore because my faith in God is so strong. Even when I want to give up and my “luck has gone bad,” I never waiver. I go back to the drawing board, talk to God and come out a much better person every time.
