Meet Veronica Scheier

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Scheier.

Veronica Scheier

Hi Veronica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
While I was getting my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at ASU, I began tinkering around on social media, primarily TikTok and Instagram. I’ve always loved expressing myself through fun hair colors, creative makeup, and alternative fashion, so I decided to start sharing it online. Soon, my accounts began growing, brand deals started coming in, and insane opportunities began presenting themselves to me. Once I got my degree, I decided to see what would happen if I took content creation seriously full-time. Within a month, I was able to quit my retail job and support myself off content creation alone, with an LLC and team of managers behind me. I took the leap and moved out of Arizona, where I’d lived all my life, and found a place in Los Angeles, California, where I live at comfortably to this day. And it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for myself! I am beyond happy with my job, life, and amazing support system of family and friends.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any other job, content creation comes with its fair share of challenges. A significant one for me was adjusting to working for myself. Throughout most of my life, I followed a school schedule, with teachers/professors assigning deadlines and setting expectations. In previous jobs, bosses directed my tasks upon clocking in, determined the duration and days of my shifts, and I could forget about work once I clocked out. Then, for the first time, I found myself without anyone dictating my actions or schedules. I had to become my own boss, establishing schedules, tasks, and expectations for myself and summoning enough self-discipline to adhere to them. While I’m incredibly grateful for my current position, achieving it required substantial effort and dedication, and adapting to it was quite challenging for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My name is Veronica Scheier, also known as @OkOkVeronica on TikTok and @V.Okay on Instagram. Based in Los Angeles, California, I’m a 22-year-old influencer with a passion for fostering community both online and off. Whether it’s exploring a local music scene or celebrating pride with my fellow LGBTQ+ buddies, I’ve always cherished the sense of belonging that comes with being part of a community. Social media has been instrumental in cultivating this, allowing me to connect with like-minded individuals worldwide who share similar interests, values, and identities. I’m grateful for the platform I’ve built, as it has allowed me to create a welcoming space for anyone seeking connection and support. Rooted in authenticity and creativity, I’m passionate about encouraging my audience to embrace their unique identities and express themselves through style. My content spans a range of topics, including makeup, fashion, and lifestyle, tailored for communities such as the alternative, tattooed, queer, and EDM/rock live music scenes; I’m committed to promoting inclusivity and empowerment online, collaborating with fellow influencers and brands to promote acceptance and positivity.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
As a content creator, there’s a world of opportunity here in LA – from networking events and photo/video shoots to collaborating with fellow creators in the area. I love how creative, diverse, and inclusive LA has been in my experience. Moving here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! However, I was not the type road rage until I moved here. The traffic is INSANE!!!
