Meet Brian Thomas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Thomas.

Hi Brian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
My love for entertainment started in the Bay Area, which is where I grew up. After watching the first High School Musical movie, I knew I wanted to be an actor. I started making YouTube videos with my friends in high school, which later inspired me to study filmmaking and acting in college. Like most people during the pandemic, I became obsessed with TikTok. I started creating short skits and realized my true passion, which was content creation. Auditioning for acting jobs and being in commercials are fun and are great opportunities. However, I love how creating my own content gives me creative freedom and makes me my own boss. I believe that social media is a powerful tool and, when used in the right way, can help elevate anyone’s career (especially if you are an actor). It’s truly amazing how much growth you can see from yourself every year that goes by. I just want to go with the flow and see where life takes me. I’m truly grateful to be where I am in my life. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe that there is no such thing as a smooth road when it comes to living your life. All the bumps, bruises, and struggles that one experiences helps mold them into the person they are today. The covid-19 pandemic was the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced. I was able to use the quarantining and countless hours at home to figure out the next part of my life. It honestly inspired the actor and creator I am today. I would never change the past because the past helped pave my path for the future. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As an actor living in LA, you need to have a side hustle or something that can help bring in extra money every month. There are so many acting opportunities out there, however, the competition is far more greater. Everyone wants to book something, but it’s impossible for every single actor to get booked for a job on a daily basis. When I’m not doing acting jobs or auditioning, I am creating content. It allows me to work out my acting muscles and create videos that entertain people. My videos are greatly influenced by my life and my goal is to create content that is relatable. I love seeing the comments that my videos get. When people love my work, it is a truly heartwarming experience which motivates me to keep acting and creating new videos. 

Any big plans?
My plan for the future is to keep on swimming, keep on creating, keep auditioning, and keep staying positive. Every year, I always make realistic goals for myself that I know I can achieve. When I achieve those goals, I make new ones.
