Ricco Soares, a Brazilian native residing in the USA for 8 years, embarked on his journey in the audiovisual production realm over a decade ago. Despite facing initial challenges, Ricco never wavered in his pursuit of his dreams. No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many journeys, mine has had its share of challenges. When I first started out, I faced obstacles such as financial constraints, limited resources, and fierce competition in the industry. Additionally, adapting to a new country and culture presented its own set of difficulties. However, despite these challenges, I remained steadfast in my determination to pursue my passion for storytelling through visual art. I embraced each obstacle as an opportunity for growth and learning, pushing through adversity with resilience and perseverance. Overcoming these struggles has only strengthened my resolve and deepened my appreciation for the journey.

Throughout my journey, I have indeed taken significant risks, particularly in establishing and growing RSoares Films. One of the most notable risks I took was investing heavily in upgrading our equipment and technology to stay ahead of industry standards. This decision involved substantial financial investment and required careful planning and strategic foresight. However, it ultimately paid off, as it enabled us to deliver higher quality productions and attract a broader range of clients. 

Additionally, branching out into new markets and experimenting with innovative storytelling techniques has also involved risk-taking. Embracing new challenges and stepping outside of our comfort zone has been instrumental in our growth and evolution as a company. 

While I wouldn’t necessarily label myself as a risk-taker by nature, I firmly believe in the importance of taking calculated risks to pursue opportunities for growth and innovation. It’s about finding the right balance between calculated risk and prudent decision-making, weighing the potential rewards against potential challenges, and being willing to learn and adapt along the way. Ultimately, it’s through taking risks that we can discover new possibilities, unlock our potential, and achieve our goals.
