Hi Kiran, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
In 2017, I embarked on a new chapter in my life by moving to the United States to pursue an MBA in Finance. After successfully completing my studies at the University of Redlands, I entered the corporate world as a financial analyst. The trajectory of my professional life was on track, but 2020 brought unforeseen challenges, including the onset of boredom.
To break the monotony, I started creating content. Initially, my content was confined within the four walls of my house. However, I soon found a unique angle by combining fashion with travel, a fusion that resonated with my audience. Fortunately, being based in Los Angeles opened up a world of possibilities.
Today, I find myself balancing the demands of my corporate career with the creative fulfillment derived from content creation. The fusion of finance, fashion, and travel has not only enriched my personal experiences but has also connected me with a broader audience, marking a unique chapter in my professional and creative journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Moving to a new country has its own unique set of hurdles. There’s the challenge of adapting to a different culture, figuring out unfamiliar systems, and creating a new support network from scratch. Trying to juggle the demands of work and school while also attempting to carve out a personal life in this fresh environment was incredibly tough. Plus, there’s the added stress of trying to excel at work while simultaneously adjusting to the corporate culture.
And then, transitioning once more, this time to content creation, brought a whole new array of challenges. It’s not just about mastering a new set of skills but also understanding audience engagement and navigating the ever-evolving digital platforms. Building an audience and making a mark in such a fiercely competitive field demands persistence and a willingness to keep learning.
Striking a balance between these transitions while ensuring personal growth and some sort of a work-life balance? That’s no small feat. Every step comes with its own hurdles, but with determination and adaptability, I’m convinced these obstacles can be conquered. Each challenge becomes an opportunity for growth and success, pushing me forward in every new endeavor.

Well, I wear two hats in my professional life – one in content creation and the other in financial analysis. It’s a unique mix, I know. But between the two, I find a special kind of joy in content creation. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about unleashing my creativity, especially when the content strikes a chord with people.
My focus? Fashion, travel, and beauty content. But within that spectrum, high-end fashion is where I truly specialize. There’s an allure to it that I find irresistible.
You see, I’m not just crafting content; I’m sharing a journey. I’m an immigrant who journeyed to the US on a student visa, and here I am, carving a path in the fashion world. That story, that journey of mine, it’s become a part of what I’m known for.
What makes me most proud? Authenticity. Staying true to myself in an industry that sometimes favors facades over reality. That’s my anchor.
What sets me apart? It’s my commitment. Understanding my audience isn’t just a strategy; it’s a core belief. I dive into their world and their preferences, and then I create content that I know will resonate. Quality matters to me, and honesty is non-negotiable. I pour these values into everything I do.
That’s my story – a blend of passion, commitment, and a touch of audacity in pursuing dreams that some might consider improbable. But that’s what makes it uniquely mine.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
1. The importance of adaptability became evident as the world underwent rapid changes.
2. The tragic loss of numerous lives reminds us never to take anything for granted. Fortunately, I didn’t lose anyone dear to me.
3. The emphasis on self-care and mental wellbeing became more pronounced.
